Born 15 October 1836 and died 8 August 1902 at the age of 66 years old. Tissot was born at Nantes, a city in western France, located on the Loire River, 50 km (31 mi) from the Atlantic coast. The city is the 6th largest in France, while its metropolitan area ranks 8th with over 800,000 inhabitants.
