THE OCELOT

In the rainforest there are a lot animals, one of this are ocelots.• Ocelots are medium-size cats , they live in

south and central america. They are excellent hunters and swimmers they eat small mammals, fish, snakes and birds. They are nocturnal.they are a protected specie.

WHAT IS HAPPENING TO THE RAINFOREST FAUNA??

• Growth of population: forest is cut to make land to build houses.

• Mining: forest and land destruction, pollution of land and rivers. Destruction of habitat. Destruction of the land of indigenous people.

• Farming: trees are cut to clear land of plant crops producing deforestation loss of habitat and biodiversity.

• Logging: destruction of large areas of forest, plants, killing of animals, destruction of the habitat of indigenous people …

WAYS TO PRESEVRE THE FAUNA

• We mustn’t cut the trees because we destroy the habitat of the animals.

• We shouldn’t pollute the rivers because we kill the acuatic fauna.

• We mustn’t build houses in the habitat of the animals.

• We mustn’t hunt some animals because some are endeangered.

• We should stop mining because we polute the rivers.
