The symbol of the city
Veria was under ottoman domination until 1912.
The City Hall was built in 1906 by Greek slaves to be a school.
It concerns an impressive neoclassic building at Mitropoleos street.
Its function as a school was until 1996. It was later restored to house the City Hall.
