Announcements for December 18, 2016
2016 CHRISTMAS PAGEANT TODAY Leading worship at 10:45 a.m. today will be the children, who will present the annual Christmas Pageant. The service will take place in Souers Hall. Come and enjoy this very special Sunday service by the children.
CHRISTMAS ANGEL PROJECT – LAST DAY
Our church Mission Committee has chosen to partner with Church World Service (CWS) for our Christmas Angel Project. CWS has been working for the last several years to provide fresh water to the hardest hit areas in West Timor, Indonesia. They have mobilized locals and funded the digging of wells for fresh drinking water, watering crops, and constructing water storage tanks to sustain people through the long dry season. If you would like to participate in the church’s Christmas Angel Project, you will find Mission Committee members in the breezeway between services TODAY. They will gladly accept any tax deductible donation you are willing to make for the project. 100% of your gift will be passed on to CSW and 100% of that will go directly to providing fresh water in West Timor. If we are able to raise $7,000 (an amount we have reached for other projects in previous years), we will provide a complete water system for a village!

CHILDREN IN CHURCH CHRISTMAS & NEW YEAR’S
On Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, children are encouraged to attend church with their families. There will be no Sunday school. The nursery will be available.
ADULT BIBLE STUDY
When Bible study resumes on Tuesday, January 10, at 10:00 a.m. and Wednesday, January 11, at 6:45 p.m. in Souers Hall we will be traveling with Jesus from The Jordan to Jerusalem. This journey begins at The Jordan River, before we head to the wilderness and continue to Capernaum, The Mountains, Sea of Galilee, Samaria, and Jerusalem. Watch for more details beginning in January.
CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUP
Caregiver Support Group will not be meeting on Christmas Day, but will resume on Sunday, January 22.

MEN’S FELLOWSHIP
Men’s Fellowship will be meeting on Saturday, January 7th, at 7:00 a.m. in Souers Hall. This meeting will include a delicious breakfast, fellowship, and John Wenzlau, a World Religious college professor. He will be leading a discussion on the beginnings and beliefs of Islam. For this special topic, anyone interested is welcome to attend (including women and youth). Please sign up in the breezeway or by calling the
church office so we can plan food accordingly. If you have questions, call the church office at (623) 935-3411.
Help the 4C choir without spending a dime! Get started on that New Year's resolution to clean out your closet!
Big Brothers Big Sisters will pay us by the pound for your used clothing, linens, towels, blankets, stuffed animals, purses, shoes, belts, draperies, pillows, toys, books, magazines, and small kitchen and household items. The items are then reused, resold, or recycled. Everyone wins: 4C earns money while supporting a good cause, you get rid of stuff you don't need, and your old things get a new life instead of adding to the landfill. No item is too small, old, or worn. We will be collecting at the church from January 21—28. (For anyone who is nearby but physically unable to bring your donations, we may be able to arrange a pickup at your house.) If you have questions, please contact Dr. Sue Kujawski ([email protected]) or Suzanne Waltman ([email protected]), or call the church office at (623) 935-3411.
