This movie is based on a royal history, set immediately after the World War II, the shortage and the economic penuries of the war
reverberate directly inside the school and are a reality that appears during the movie.
Everything begins with two childhood friends they meet again after years. One of them shows the diary to other one written in 1949 for an instructor of the school to which they were going when were small . And
it is, exactly, the voice of that teacher the conductive thread of the plot.
Clement Mathieu, is the teacher of music who in 1949 begins to be work at a minors' boarding school.
Soon he knows the repressive methods of the director, Rachin, who
domesticates his pupils on the basis of firm hand: action and
reaction!, because of it to Mathieu it it is surprised the raw reality of
the routine of the school, and the methods used by the director in his
attempt of imposing discipline, in turn that this him awake pity for the
boys.
Mathieu, begins to look for tools to be gained the children organizing
