Nassau, Bahamas, Nov. ThreeBahamians were called to the Eng-lish Bar in London on November 17.Mr. Harry B. Sands wr as called tothe Inner Temple. Mr. Gerald C.Cash to the Middle Temple and Mr.Eugene Dupuch to Lincoln’s Inn.Mr. Dupuch is the brother ofMessrs Gilbert and Etienne Dupuchof the Nassau Tribune, and is alsothe assistant editor of that journal

Mr. Cash is well known, he is theson of Mr. Wilfred Cash, M. H.A. and nephew of Mr. Hugh Cashof Miami, Florida.

Mr. Sands is a prominent Nassau-vian. being a member of an old andwell known family. All Bahamiansare proud of these three native sons.

Funds are still being solicited foithe Christmas treat to needy peoplein the community at the DuchessClinic on Christmas Eve morning.On this occasion. His Lordahip theBishop Os Nassau will be present.Mr. Bert Cambridge is chairman ofthe Christmas Cheer Fund.

Looking toward New Year’s morn-ing, the Masquerade Committee issoliciting funds for prizes, etc. Thefirst prize will be twenty pounds,the second, fifteen pounds, thethird ten pounds and tl|e fourthfive pounds. Several consolationprizes will be given and there willbe special prizes for juveniles.

The Bahamas Brotherhood givesthe 27th annual Carol Service atRawson Square on Sunday, Decem-ber 12.

St. John's College is out to collect1,000,000 stamps in five years andhope to raise *4,000 dollars or morefrom these stamps tow»*d the build-ing fund.

They now' have 100.0*0 and haveon a special drive to reach theirgoal before Christmas.

Our two largest journals havejust had anniversaries. The NassauGuardian is now W)4 years old andhas been published by the same fam-ily—the Moseleys.

The Nassau Tribune, owned bythe Dupuch family is 45 years old.It too, has remained in the tlupuch'sfamily.
