TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR HYDRATED LIMEThe hydrated lime shall be a refined hydrate that has a small median particle size, good flow properties, high surface area, free of sand, and high total & available Ca(OH)2, free of lumps or other foreign matter which might interfere with the operation of the chemical feed facilities. Hydrated lime shall meet the following industry standards: AWWA standard B202-02 Certified to NSF standard 60 Certified to ASTM standards C977-03, C1097-06a, C207-06 (type N only), and C911-06

The delivered hydrated lime shall meet the following chemical and physical requirements:Property Range

MnO 25 ppm or less

Water Insoluble Material 3% or less
