1EnergyLabWho are we?
EnergyLab is a private non-profit technology centre that develops R+D+i activities since September 2008
The EnergyLab’s mission is toimprove the competitiveness of thebusiness fabric through innovativeprojects aimed at enhancing theenergy performance and reducingthe environmental impacts of theiractivities.
To become a national andinternational reference centre in thedevelopment of innovative solutionsfor the effective realization andconsolidation of the energy transitiontowards a decarbonized society.
Innovation, Excellence, Integrity andCommitment.
Mission View Values
The governing body of our centre is based on a board which includes both public and private entities.

Sustainable Building Industry Bioenergy Mobility & Infrastructures
+ Data analytic for advanced energy & waste management
+ Waste heat recovery
+ Circular Economy
+ Near-Zero Energy Buildings (NZEB)
+ Energy storage systems (thermal and electric)
+ Renewable district heating system
+ Optimization of geothermal systems
It improves the energy performance of heating, cooling and DHW production systemsbased on heat pump technology by the following lines of work:
ü New refrigerants.
ü Use of heat from the refrigerant gas and waste heat.
ü Improvement of compressors’ energy efficiency.
ü Regulation and control (parameters of performance, refrigerant systemexpansion device, inclusion of renewable systems to get power generationfor the compressor drive and other consumptions, etc..)
ü High temperature production (DHW, district heating, industrial uses, etc.).
ü Hybridization with other renewable thermal generation systems.

2GeoAtlantic ProjectIntroduction
The GEOATLANTIC Project has been approved in the 1st call for Projects in Axis 2. Of 425expressions of interest received by the Program, only 102 were able to attend. 45 proposals wereapproved in May 2017, including GEOATLANTIC.
Its execution period is 36 months betweenSeptember 2017 and August 2020, but forCOVI-19 reasons it will extend to February2021 (44 months total).
It has been approved with a budget of € 2,867,469.64, of which75% will be financed by the European Regional DevelopmentFund.

2GeoAtlantic ProjectGoals
Develop methodologies and tools in order to create the CONDITIONS necessary to PROMOTE ENERGY TRANSITION in the Atlantic Area THROUGH THE IMPULSE OF
LOCAL GEOTHERMAL RESOURCES
1. Develop cooperation between private and public actors through thearticulation of the value chain of geothermal energy in eachcommunity or local territory.
2.3. Train communities and local authorities to give an effective
response from the energy point of view to the challenges ofmitigating climate change.
Promote the development of local policy frameworks andsupporting instruments to promote the energy transition andthe promotion of geothermal energy.
4.5. Publicize the relevance and business opportunities offered by
geothermal energy.
Increase the social acceptance of renewable energies, especially geothermal energy, by local communities.
