Fridays of Lent

Mass, there also will be Mass at 5:15 pm. The
Stations of the Cross will be prayed at 6 pm.
Fasting and Abstinence
Lent is a season of penance, and fasting and absti-
nence are essential means by which we celebrate
the Lenten season. The laws of the Catholic Church
(canons 1251-1252 of the Code of Canon Law) on
fasting and abstinence are as follows:
Abstinence: All Catholics 14 years and older are
obliged to abstain from eating flesh meat on Ash
Wednesday and the Fridays of Lent.
Fasting: Catholics aged 18 to 59 inclusive are
obliged to fast on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday.
On these days of fasting, one full meal is permitted
as well as two smaller meals that, if combined,
would be less than a full meal.
Prayer for the Unborn
Heavenly Father, You created us in your own image
and You desire that not even the least among us
should perish. In Your love for us, You entrusted
your only Son to the Holy Virgin Mary. Now in
Your love, protect against the wickedness of the
devil, those little ones to whom You have given the
gift of life. I ask that you help reach those consider-
ing abortion and by Your Grace, change their hearts
and protect the unborn. Bless all efforts to
protect human life from all threats to the Dignity
of Life from Conception to Natural Death.
Virgin of Guadalupe, Patroness of unborn
children, we implore your intercession for
every child at risk of abortion.

and mass chaos.

7pm and April 7 and 14 at 2pm in Anathan
Theatre, on the ground level of Egan Hall.
Tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for students and
