How to Use Lesson Closure
Students will read some form of textStudents will take notes about the textStudents will be handed a paper that is a
framed paragraph.They will have to fill this paper outIf the paper is filled out correctly the
student will have successfully summarized the text
How to use GIST
Students will read selected reading and take notes
Students then identify journalism's "5 Ws and 1 H“
Students use their notes to write a 20-word summary called a gist
