scarf with lots of visual

texture.

Using just one shuttle, this

scarf is easier to make than

it looks.

Structure Plain weave.

fine alpaca/50% Peruvian

wool) at 215 yd/3.5 oz. Car-

nelian Red #6256 and Deep

Purple #6221; Jasper (100%

merino) at 98 yd/1.75 oz

skein, Vintage Leather #3848;

Trilogy (wool/cotton/rayon

blend) at 80 yd/1.75 oz skein,

Orkney Rouge #7633; Borealis

(60% acrylic/40% wool) at

108 yd/3.5 oz skein, Reykholt

#5067.

Weft: Ultra Alpaca (50% super

fine alpaca/50% Peruvian

wool) at 215 yd/3.5 oz. Blue

Glasynys #6213. All yarns

from Berroco.

WarpWarp length: 71” (includes 16"

of loom waste).

Warp ends: 56.

Width in reed: 5 ⅘".

E.P.I. and P.P.I.: 10.

Finished Length: 55" un-

washed, 53" washed.

Fringe length: 3.5".

times the width of the warp,

and weave four picks of Blue

Weave plain weave for a

total of 55" then hemstitch the

other end of the scarf. Remove

from the loom.

FiniSHinGWash by hand in very warm

water and lay flat to dry. If

fabric is not sufficiently fulled,

wet the fabric and place in

dryer with towels and tumble,

checking the fabric frequently

until sufficiently fulled. Lay flat

to dry and then steam press

on back using a press cloth.
