About UsThe Society was originally established to provide safe, affordable housing for families of First Nations ancestry who were in core need of housing in urban centres on Vancouver Island.
Since that time the Society and its mandate have expanded into what is now the M’akola Group of Societies, consisting of seven Societies.

• We were incorporated March 18th, 1988 as a Non-Profit Society
• We specialize in project development, and property management services for market and non-market developments

• In 2005 the Board developed a Comprehensive Strategic Plan – defining our areas of focus and effort from 2006 to 2010
• Redefining our focus leads us to maximize and leverage our existing assets and abilities to meet our Mission and Vision
