A Shared Vision – Zero Accidents!
The aim is to ensure a safe working environment in physical, mental and social terms for the competitors and other participants.It is hoped that all the participant teams will share the ‘zero accident vision’
thorough compliance with safety rules tools and machines safe to use personal protective equipment in good repair a well-maintained competition site.

Complying with Finnish Legislation and European Standards
Safety regulations and skill-specific safety rules will conform to Finnish laws and European standards
legislation concerning e.g. occupational health and safety is strict and the related standards and regulations are followed rigorously in Finland.
In addition, Quality Assurance Management System (QAMS), health and safety audits, and other related procedures will be followed.

Electrical Safety
The electrical equipment used at the WSC must be safe – with no risk of fire or electric shock.
In Finland, electricity is supplied as follows:• voltage: 230 VAC (one-phase)
• electric power frequency: 50 Hz.

CE-mark
All electrical paraphernalia must bear the CE-mark, the official marking required by the European Community for all electrical and
electronic equipment Tools and equipment brought by competitors will be checked before the competition. Use of equipment which does not fulfil the regulations is forbidden.

The Health and Safety Regulations document comprises
General health and safety regulations (e.g. electricity, welding, machining, hygiene, tools and equipment)
Skill-specific notifications and the table of mandatory personal protective equipment.
The document will be distributed by the end of November 2004
