Input a confidence level. For example: .9, .95, or .99.

Each time the worksheet is recalculated (by changing a cell or hitting F9), 100 random samples, each of size 30, are taken from the Population in column A and displayed in columns K to AN. For each sample, the sample mean is computed in column J, a confidence interval, based on the inputted confidence level, is computed in columns H and I. In column G, for each confidence interval, it is determined if the interval contains the population mean (which is computed in cell D13). The fraction of the 100 samples with a "yes" in column G is computed in cell D17. This fraction should be close to the confidence level thus illustrating that the confidence interval approach works.
