For all the saints, who from their labors rest, Who Thee by faith before the world confessed, Thy Name, O Jesus, be forever blessed. Alleluia, Alleluia!
Have you ever considered which of the Saints might be your favorite? Have you ever imagined that perhaps your favorite Saint might be a little more like you than you could have ever thought? Have you ever been curious about the life of that individual who would one day be recognized by the Church as a Saint?
We can often have the notion that all of the Saints were born Saints. To think that their lives may not have always reflected a deep relationship with Jesus seems impossible. Yet, when we read the lives of the Saints, we come to realize that many of those individuals lived lives much like our own. They, too, often struggled in a world of riches, glamour and power; with moments of uncertainty, doubt, and fear. Yet they trusted in God’s faithfulness to them; they persevered; some even accepted martyrdom. Saints like, Joseph, Paul, Stephen, Francis and Clare, Theresa of Calcutta, Joan of Arc, Ignatius of Loyola, Maximilian Kolbe, John Neumann, St. Katherine Drexel.
The Feast of All Saints…what a beautiful feast we celebrate today. It is a feast that celebrates those who have gone before us in faith whom the church has honored and raised to sainthood. We remember the many men and women, outstanding in holiness, who intercede for us to God, our Father; and celebrate their faith in Jesus Christ. However, our honoring them should also remind us of our own call, a call to holiness. The lives of the saints should stir within us a deep desire to imitate their faith, which often was not without struggle, yet their commitment was constant. In this beautiful feast we are reminded that, even when we might waver in our faith, God’s faithfulness to us never wavers. Our journey to holiness may or may not reflect any of the Saints and it may have some obstacles along the way. However, if it is our journey to God then we are on the right path. We, too, are called to be saints in our world today, what a call; can we do it?
May our celebration of All Saints encourage us in our journey of faith. Let us pray for one another that we may answer our per-sonal call to be saints in our world, that we too may be counted among the Saints.
God Bless you, Father Redcay

We’re looking for more singers & ringers.

Tenor/Bass - Our tenor and bass sections are excellent but are always ready to welcome new members to keep the bal-ance of voices perfect.
1st Sopranos – We have two wonderful 1st Sopranos who would love to welcome you into their small group. Higher des-cants and melodies are what they like to sing.
2nd Sopranos – Sing the melody line. It is a great place to be on Sunday mornings singing with these lovely women.
Altos – These lovely ladies have the fun of singing parts all the time. If you are a woman who likes a good musical puzzle, the alto section is the place for you.
Practices are Tuesday evenings 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM. We sing at the 9 or 10:30 AM Masses every Sunday – Septem-ber through May.
CHILDREN’S AND TEEN CHOIRS - Our Children’s Choir is for all children in the parish (Catholic, Private and Public Schools) who love to sing. Your child must be in grades 3 through 8 to sing in this choir. Practices are in the church choir loft from 6 to 7:15 PM every Tuesday night.
Our Teen Choir is for all parish teens attending any high school. If you sing or play an instrument, please consider joining this group. Because of scheduling problems for high school students, practices are flexible. But you can join us on Tues-days at the same time as the Children’s Choir from 6 to 7:15 PM in the church choir loft.
Our Hand Bell Choir is looking for some new ringers. We are getting ready for the Christmas season at this time. You do NOT need experience playing hand bells, but you must be able to read music. Practic-es are held on Monday night in the church choir loft 7:30 to 8:30 PM.
For further information, please contact Katey Engel at 610-647-2348 or e-mail at [email protected] Detailed information about our music ministry program can be found on our website: www.stpatrickmusicministry.com!
Pope Francis has declared an Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy.
This Jubilee of Mercy is a time in which we can be trans-formed by the merciful gaze of God upon us; and a time in which we can respond by sharing that compassion and love with others. At St. Patrick Parish we will begin our Jubilee of Mercy with a Sacred Concert featuring John Angotti and our parish choirs. John Angotti is a full time music missionary who
travels throughout many parts of the world providing in-
spirational music and witness to all ages through con-
certs, workshops, retreats, missions, conferences, and
worship. This concert will take place on Saturday, December 12th in our church. The following day, at the 10:30 Mass, we will gather as faithful followers of Christ to celebrate the Opening Liturgy for the Jubilee. More info about the celebration of the Jubilee Year will be available soon.
