Mission Statement We, the community of the faithful of St. Mary of Carleton Place, inspired by the
living Spirit of Christ, join together in concretely living out in our daily life the message of salvation proclaimed by our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. From the mission received from our Baptism in the Risen Christ, we will endeavour to bring
his message of salvation to the world around us. Therefore, we will try to enrich
our parish community through our liturgical celebrations and regular prayer meetings, to deepen the faith life of our
community through Catechetical programs for children, youth and adults, to raise an
awareness of justice and peace in the minds and hearts of all people, and instill in all members of our Parish community a caring and loving disposition toward the poor, the sick and the needy of our wider community and of the world. Our parish
life and mission are dedicated to the patronage of Mary, Mother of Mercy, the true icon of our loving and merciful God.

Father’s Reflection:
Baptism of the Lord
Sharing in the Lord’s ministry
Lord Jesus, touch our eyes so that we may see the signs of your
presence in our lives and in the world. Touch our ears so that
we may hear your word. Touch our tongues so that we may
profess our faith. Touch our hands so that we may give and
receive. Touch our feet so that we may walk in your paths.
Touch our minds so that we may understand your ways. Touch
our wills so that we may be in tune with your will. Touch our
hearts so that we may bring your love to our brothers and
sisters, to the praise and glory of God. Amen
