Sacrament of Reconciliation: Confessions are heard by appointment only. Those wishing spiritual direction should phone the rectory to schedule an appointment.
Sacrament of Marriage: Our diocese requires a one-year preparation time for this sacrament. Please contact the rectory at least one year in advance of your planned wedding date.
Care of the Sick: Please advise us of parishioners who are sick or in the hospital, that we might keep them in prayer and, if possible, visit them. Anyone who is unable to celebrate Mass with us in Church is urged to advise us so that we can, if possible, bring the Eucha-rist to them at home.
Sacrament of Baptism: Celebrated the second Sunday of each month. Other times during Mass. Please contact the rectory to set up a meeting. Instruction is required for all parents seeking Baptism for their child.

Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary August 15, 2017

Mass and Pilgrimage at Nazareth The Sisters of Mercy are hosting the 116th Annual Mass & Pilgrimage to Our Lady’s Grotto at Nazareth on Tues-day, August 15th, the Feast of the Assumption of Our La-dy in heaven. The procession leaves the parking lot of St. Joseph’s Church in Leicester at 9:15am arriving at the Grotto for the 10:00am Mass. Father James Mazzone will be the principle celebrant. Following Mass there is a reception on the Nazareth grounds. Please join us.
Good News: Financial Update:-Our current FY 2017 obligation to the Diocese for a total of $55,302.00 has been met! Now we start all over Sept.1st for FY 2018-

Sept. 9th beginning at 10:00am St. Joseph’s Campus
Join Us For A Fun Filled Event Featuring Music, Food, Raffles, Entertainment, Children's Activ-ities, Craft Tables & more .. An Outdoor Mass will be celebrated at 4:00pm on the grounds of St. Joseph Church followed by our 2nd St. Joseph-St. Pius X Chicken BBQ (kids chicken meal, hot dogs / burgers meals also available) (advance tickets only)- In addi-tion to revenue we hope to raise for current diocesan bills & parish expenses, it will be a great way to come together as a community for food, fun & fellowship. Your Support, Participation, & Generosity is very much needed so that all will be a huge success!!!

Ignatian Spiritual Exercises in Daily Life Starting October 1, 2017, a 30 week experience of Directed Prayer and Reflection in the tradition of St. Ignatius of Loyo-la is being offered by a Jesuit led team from Holy Cross Col-lege and includes Deacon and Mrs. Michael Corby and oth-ers experienced in Ignatian prayer. Each session will be on Sunday evening. Location has not been determined, but each week will be approximately an hour to ninety minutes and will include reflection, direction and presentation. Information nights will be held at St. Mary’s in Jefferson on August 20 and St.Rose of Lima on August 27 in Northbor-ough, each at 7PM. The Leicester Food Pantry is in need of back-to-school
supplies. Any donations are greatly appreciated! We are
especially in binders, dividers, filler paper, two-pocket
folders, zippered pencil cases, pencils, mechanical pen-
cils, blue pens, highlighters, glue sticks, scissors, erasers,
crayons, markers, colored pencils, book covers, binder
clips, pencil sharpeners, sheet protectors, sticky notes,
index cards and dry erase markers.
If you are in need of school supplies, please visit the
Leicester Food Pantry on Tuesdays 5-7pm.
