The Homeless Ministry extends our most sincere thanks and gratitude to all who participated
in the Faith In Action Community Housing event held from June 17 through June 24. During
this time, our Parish Family extended loving hands and hearts and hosted moms and their
beautiful children, ranging in ages from 5 months to 12 years old. This was a large group of
outpouring of generosity of time and talent, and the families will remember their time at Saint
Anthony as a time of friendship and tranquil shelter. Thank you to everyone who helped
make this a success.
Saturday, June 22nd, Fort Lauderdale Mayor Dean Trantalis and City Commissioner Steve
Glassman presented to Saint Anthony Parish a proclamation acknowledging the Parish’s 13
years of providing emergency shelter to homeless mothers and children through the “Faith In
Action Community Shelter” program.
On Wednesday June 26th from 7:00 p.m.—9:00 p.m., we will hold a Faith in Action debrief
meeting in the school cafeteria to review the previous weeks and seek recommendations to
make this process better for all.
Don’t miss attending Mass while you are away on vacation.
Go to: www.thecatholicdirectory.com

Thank you for your support!
Thank you to everyone that donated to the Backpack Drive, it was a huge success!!

their belongings.
Thank you,
Cameron and Rylee Huston

PARISH INFORMATION
Parish Religious Education Program (PREP)
While the sessions have closed for the summer, registration and information
is available by contacting the PREP Office 954-467-7749 or
email: [email protected]. Forms are on the parish web site! PREP
will resume in September for boys and girls in kindergarten, and 1st through high
school. Faith formation is an ongoing process that continues through every-
one’s life! Confirmation is not a graduation from learning about God’s love
and our response.
Preparation and reception of First Reconciliation (confession/penance), First
Eucharist (Communion), and Confirmation involve a two year program. The
first year provides information and foundation in faith while the second year
provides direct sacrament preparation and reception.
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
If you or someone you know has expressed an interest in the process for adults,
they are welcome to attend on Monday evenings from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
beginning in September for reception and/or review of the Sacraments of
Baptism, Holy Communion, and Confirmation. The RCIA is a faith journey for
those preparing to receive the sacraments or for those accompanying
someone who is preparing to receive the sacraments. The faith is filled with
riches to be discovered or uncovered!
Volunteer Opportunities
Summer months are great times to reflect on what has passed as well as think
about what may come!
The parish offers many options for everyone to become involved in parish life.
Perhaps you see the need for those to help on the weekend Masses? Maybe
you are interested in helping share the faith with the little ones in PREP?
Consider assisting in the Parish Youth Ministry (Jr. High and High School)? Young
Adult Ministry? Respect Life Ministry? Homeless Ministry? Why not inquire? Just
a phone call could open many possibilities???!!!!!
Attention parishioners:
The Archdiocese of Miami has been hearing reports of people receiving
emails from scammers impersonating clergy, asking to verify personal
information on a document titled Archdiocese of Miami Proposal. If you,
your friends or family have received emails like this, please do not open
the attachment, do not respond, and delete the email.
Clergy would never ask you to verify personal information online. You
