     HUNTSVILLE  HOUSING  AUTHORITY    

SPONSORS  BIG  BROTHER  BIG  SISTER  of  NORTH  ALABAMA  FOR  “Tee  it  Up  Fore  Kids  and  the  5th  Annual  “BIG  5K”  RUN.  

 

Huntsville  Housing  Authority  is  proud  to  announce  its  sponsorship  of  the  Big  Brother  Big  Sister  of  North  Alabama  “Tee  it  up  Fore  Kids”  1st  Annual  Golf  Tournament  scheduled  for  May  1st,  2015  at  7  AM,  at  the  Hampton  Cove  Golf  Course  (Highlands  Course).    HHA  is  a  Community  Impact  sponsor  of  $500.00  which  

will  allow  2  individuals  to  be  registered  for  the  event.    

The  second  event,  the  “BIG  5K”,  is  scheduled  to  take  place  on  Saturday,  June  20th  2015  at  7AM.    This  is  the  5th  Annual  BIG  5K  run  at  Bridge  Street  Town  Centre.    HHA  is  a  Silver  Sponsor  donating  $1000.00,  which  will  allow  the  registration  for  3  individuals  to  participate  in  the  run.      

Big  Brothers  Big  Sisters  of  North  Alabama  is  a  non-­‐profit  organization  that  has  been  providing  mentoring  

services  for  children  in  North  Alabama  for  over  30  years.    “These  one-­‐  on-­‐  one  relationships  with  the  children  of  primarily  single-­‐  parent  families  provides  the  support  a  young  person  needs  to  reach  maturity  with  a  greater  sense  of  responsibility  and  stability”,  stated  CEO  Emmett  Moore.    

Executive  Director/CEO  Michael  Lundy  stated,  “We  are  honored  to  sponsor  BBBSNA  and  have  been  a  

great  supporter  over  the  years.    Our  agencies  serve  primarily  the  same  populations.    Supporting  one  another  seems  only  natural  and  as  we  come  together  to  build  up  the  children,  it  increases  their  success.”
