Special Learning Camp
7 camps in 6 States, each State had Language and Maths camps (BH, AS, WB, JHK, UP and RAJ)
3 successive camps : 10 days each 20 days gap between each camp 30-40 children in each class
Targeted children in Language: Children from beginner, letter and word levels. (Targeted children
varied from one camp to another; Assam and Bihar(Fatuha) worked mostly with words level children and a few from the levels below, while in other camps children came from all, word, letter and beginner levels. )
Targeted children in Maths: Children from beginners, 1-9 and number recognition upto 100.
Objectives of Special camp
In Language: Children should be able to read a story fluently
with comprehension. Writing refinement.
In Maths: Children should be able to do operations with
numbers beyond 100. (3 digit )
Preparatory phase
Choice of texts (worksheets prepared for 2nd LC and onwards)
Creating instruction design for the learning camp
Provided video: explaining the do’s and don'ts in learning camp
Regular inter action/teleconference with the concerned people
