Join author and speaker Kathryn Smith in the story of an adventurous and intriguing 20th century woman, Gertrude Sanford Legendre. Living a life of Gilded Age privilege, Gertie experienced many opportunities, including traveling the globe as a big game hunter. During WW II, she worked for the OSS (spy agency), and was captured by the Nazis
in 1944, escaping over the Swiss border shortly before Germany’s surrender. Legendre lived an extraordinary life from 1902-2000, celebrating her 96th birthday in Morocco.
