MAY ELECTION MEETING
May Election Meeting Tuesday, May 2nd, 2017
Since this year’s Election
meeting needed to be post-
poned by a month, the new election meeting will be
held at Harbor Hills on
Tuesday, May 2nd. This
meeting will feature din-
ner from the Buckeye Lake
Pizza Cottage, but we need
YOU to show up to stand
for election and to vote in
the new 2017-18 Board of
Directors. We would also
like you to bring a salad or
a dessert to share with the group. This means you can
help us out in three differ-
ent ways—bringing some
food, standing for a board
position, and voting in the
election. Here’s to seeing
you on the next Board of
Directors!!!!!
It’s that time again to change my Facebook page from winter skiing to summer activities. I hope to see you all at the May meeting, and hope we fill not only your bellies but also the positions that are opening up on the board. Those positions that are opening up are Vice President, Activities, Secretary, At Large, and Membership. I want to give a big thanks to those that are leaving for all the effort they put into making the club great. Remember any club’s success relies on its people and events to make it successful. Speaking of events there are several coming. The OVSC summit is in May, mark down July 29th for our annual summer picnic, a fabulous Alaska cruise with Nancy as your leader and the board voted to go to Sun Valley with OVSC early March 2018. There are several social hours planned with dates to come. If you have any you would like to lead get with a board member and we will get the word out. Hope to see you all at the May meeting.

CALL FOR OFFICERS This is the annual CALL FOR OFFICERS! As this is an odd numbered year, the positions which are
open this year are: Activities Chair 2 year term
Membership Chair 2 year term
Secretary 2 year term
Vice-President 1 year term
V-P At-Large 1 year term
This club is a volunteer organization, and we need YOU to volunteer to help us out. You have been on the trips, attended the meetings, eaten the food, read this newsletter, and bought great stuff
at the Sh-Sh-Shilent Auction. But these things do not magically happen. It takes time and effort
from the great people in this club to pull off all the wonderful happenings we all enjoy. So, PLEASE consider giving of your time for the next 1 to 2 years to help us fill these spots and have another
amazing Board of Directors!
If you are interested or willing to sign on, please notify any member listed on Page 5 to find out the duties and to get placed on the ballot. The election will occur at the April meeting, and the new
board takes power in May.
To everyone who has served on the board and to everyone who is currently serving, I personally want to THANK YOU for all you have done for and with this club. It is the fun and awesome club
that it is strictly because of your hard work and dedication. So let’s keep this thrill ride going for
another year!

Alaska Cruise Aug. 27 – Sept. 3, 2017
We still have room for you to join us on this exciting Norwegian Cruise for one of the best trips you will ever do, as I have been told by many people. We will be seeing many glaciers, wild life and can do Whale watching or take a train ride on the same train the Gold miners they did in the 1800. You can do Glacier hiking or ride a motor cycle around sightseeing. Some are going to go early to visit Seattle and stay after cruise to go hiking to Mt Rainer and Pacific Crest Trail. This will be a great trip with lots of memories. And proba-bly lots of fish meals. Cabins are as cheap as $1305; payment will need to be in by May 1st.
