Physics, analysis and detector optimisation
Reminder:The group attempts to answer:
What machine do we need ?What detector do we need ?What tools do we need ?
We are not alone !

Status of 1 TeV Benchmarks
The DESY physics & analysis group should:Produce the beam-beam background generation
Both as input to the beam-spectrum calculationand the actual pairs.Tony H.Done.
Produce the signal and background for the WW bench-markSignal = almost all 4-fermion final-states.Background = the rest of the 4-fermions and most 2-fermions.M.B.Status: 36 of 40 4-fermion sub-samples done (4 to be redone)2-fermions running, after a fix to Whizard.
Analyse the WW bench-mark.Aura R.Set-up, testing done (with help from Ivan M.).Waiting for the samples.

SUSY benchmark
Our previous work-horse scenario SPS1a’ is excluded by LHC...But not because of anything relevant for the ILC:
Limit on gluino and first two generation squarks. No limit on other bosinos, sleptons or third generation squarks...... but that’s the guys low energy data and cosmology imposesconstraints on !
So: Find a new bench-mark with the same ILC spectrum, butheavier LHC spectrumFringe benefit: SUSY flavour problem “solved”
TDR1Bosino- and slepton-sector very similar to SPS1a’.Gluino and 1:st and 2:nd generation squarks beyond LHC @ 8TeV (but not @ 14 TeV)11 parameters. In between CMSSM(5) and pMSSM(19).

Conclusions
Conclusions
A large number of analyses going on.One of which is a DBD bench-mark.A new, difficult SUSY bench-mark is being studied: TDR1.The DESY commitment to DBD bench-mark event generation isalmost completed.
