It is with great joy that we con-gratulate our Pastor and First Lady Sylvia, on their 25th Anni-versary of service to God through Abiding Faith’s ministry. In Chapter 5 of 1 Thessalonians Paul admonishes us to "know them which labor among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; and to esteem them very highly in Love for their work's sake and be at peace among your-selves."
Their ministry to Abiding Faith has been faithful, consistent, de-voted, determined and diligent, and a blessing to so many lives. It is a tremendous blessing to reach this milestone of 25 years, but we encourage each other to gear up for another twenty-five years be-cause the best it yet to come!!
Pastor Morgan and Sister Sylvia, for the many souls that have been brought into the kingdom, as well as the thousands of transformed lives that have taken place at this vineyard under your leadership, we “esteem you very highly in Love”, and praise God for you!!Our prayer is that the next 25

Welcome New Members, Praise God!
Thank you, Abiding Faith Family! We asked, you responded— many sacrificially, and God em-powered! Our project began January 2017, and before the end of the year (August), the new sign was in place and function-ing!! Thank you so much for such willing spirits and com-radery! Some said it couldn’t be done, some said it wouldn’t be done, and some even said it shouldn’t be done; but here it is! Such a blessing from God almighty, using you, as willing agents! We give Him all the glory! Our new LED sign is tes-timony of how God can use a few (willing) spirits with a heart for God, to accomplish His purposes. Again, Abiding Faith Family, on behalf of our Pastor and the Marketing Team, we thank you, from the bottom of our hearts!

“It has been over 2000 years since Jesus taught, performed miracles, died and resurrected; and here we are still talking about it. Why? Because someone shared the story! We are the feet of Jesus!”

“Rivals under one” roof is what one headline read. Last year, as a result of the mold cleanup/remediation, Willowridge students intertwined with their rival Marshall High School, and approxi-mately 1,400 Wil-lowridge students were added to Marshall’s en-rollment. However, in spite of some concerns about this temporary “marriage” it appears that they pretty much
“lived in harmony” since the beginning of the 2017-2018 school year, with no major incidents. As a proactive measure, however, faith leaders came together to discuss ways to promote unity between the rivals and one measure included soliciting volunteers f rom surrounding churches to monitor lunch breaks on a daily basis. Abiding Faith joined in this effort and
volunteers, including our Pastor, were rou-tinely scheduled to sup-port the effort. Our Pastor spoke of this as an opportunity for Abiding Faith to part-ner with our Fort Bend

Gilbane, Inc., is an international builder and
developer of some of the most highly visible
projects domestically and internationally.
Our own Deacon Hank Stewart, after 30
years, retired recently from his position as
Southwest Superintendent at Gilbane Devel-
opment Company. “Deacon Hank”, pictured
on the right. at his recent retirement party,
explained: “I was working for another company
on a project just outside of Galveston, and Gilbane
took over the job”. “It was actually a pretty intense
“complicated job”, he continued, “sixteen stories, offices and conference area. Gilbane asked me to stay on and I’ve been here ever since.”
“Hank” would work on many even more “intense” and award-winning jobs at Gilbane, one being the Iver Johnson Builders of the Year Exon Mobil project. “I was the senior superintendent in charge of infrastructure work”, he reminisced at the dinner. “It was the largest project in the company’s history at the time. We had miles of underground utilities, bridges, and parking structures. It was just an awesome project”.
Deacon “Hank” says accepting Gilbane’s offer was the best decision he’s ever made (next to mar-
rying Sister Earnestine). It’s been a pleasure to work with so many wonderful people and family
members. Asked what advice he’d give to employees just starting their careers with Gilbane,
Hank answered, “If you are willing to work hard, be loyal, a good teammate, and keep learning, you’ll
have no regrets. I never did.” Congratulations, Deacon Hank, now you can come to Sunday School!!
Congratulations, Deacon Hank Stewart, on your Retirement!
