DĔNAS TOGMAI SANGYÁS GUNDU SÁNBOS KÒRVAI SEMJANNÁM CÀN MIGYÁVAR WÁNMEDBAI MÒNLAM KYADBARJAN DÌ SUNSOThen the primordial Buddha Samantabhadra pronounced this special invocation through whose power it is inevitable that all beings in samsara will attain enlightenment.

GUNGYI XÍNI DÙS MAJYASThe base of all is uncreated,
རང་བང་ཀང་ཡངས་བརད་ད་མད༔RANJYŭN LÓNYAN JÓDDU MEDA self-arisen and ineffable expanse
འཁར་འདས་གཉས་ཀའ་མང་མད་ད། KÒRDÀS ñíSGAI MIN MEDDOWhere the names of both samsara and nirvana do not exist.
ད་ཉད་རག་ན་སངས་རས་ཏ༔DĔñID RIGNA SANGYÁS DEBy recognizing it, enlightenment is attained;
མ་རག་སམས་ཅན་འཁར་བར་འཁམས༔MARIG SEMJAN KÒRVAR KYÀMBy not recognizing it, beings wander in samsara.
ཁམས་གསམ་སམས་ཅན་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀས༔KAMSùM SEMJAN TAMJADGYISMay all beings of the three realms
བརད་མད་གཞ་དན་རག་པར་ཤག༔JóDMeD XÍ DŏN RIGBAR XOGRecognize the real meaning of the ineffable base!

ར་རན་མད་པ་གཞ་ཡ་དན༔GYÚ GYEN MEDBA XíYI DŏNNaturally recognized from the very beginning
ད་ཉད་གཞ་ལས་རང་བང་རག༔DĔñID XÍlAS RANJYŭN RIGThe real meaning of the base without cause and conditions,
ཕ་ནང་ས་སར་སན་མ་བཏགས༔qYI NAN DRÓGUR GYON MADAGFree from the flaw that affirms or negates outside or inside,
དན་མད་མན་པའ་ད་མ་གས༔DRANMeD MUNBAI DRǐ MAGŏSUntainted by the darkness of unconsciousness.
ད་ཕར་རང་སང་སན་མ་གས༔DĔqYIR RANNÀN GYON MAGŏSTherefore my vision is not conditioned by defects.
རང་རག་ས་ལ་གནས་པ་ལ༔RANRIG SOLA NÁSBALAWith instant presence abiding in its own place,

སད་གསམ་འཇག་ཀང་དངངས་སག་མད༔SÌDSùM JÌG GYAN NÁN DRAG MEDEven if the three worlds collapse, there is no fear.
སང་སམས་གཉས་ས་མད་པ་ལ༔NÀN SEM ñíSSU MEDBALAWithout duality between vision and mind
འདད་ཡན་ལ་ལ་ཆགས་པ་མད༔DÒDYON NÁLA qAGBA MEDI have no attachment to the five objects of enjoyment.
རག་མད་ཤས་པ་རང་བང་ལ༔DOGMED XESBA RANJYŭNLAIn self-arisen consciousness beyond thought
གདས་པའ་གཟགས་དང་དག་ལ་མད༔DóSBAI SúG DAN DŭG NÁ MEDThere are neither material form nor the five poisons.
རག་པའ་གསལ་ཆ་མ་འགགས་པ༔RIGBAI SÀLqA MAGÀGBAThe uninterrupted clarity of instant presence
ང་བ་གཅག་ལ་ཡ་ཤས་ལ༔NOVO JIGLA YEXES NÁHas a single essence but five wisdoms.
ཡ་ཤས་ལ་པ་སན་པ་ལས༔YEXES NÁBO MÌNBALASFrom the ripening of the five wisdoms

ད་ལས་ཡ་ཤས་མཐའ་རས་པས༔DĔlAS YeXeS Tà GYáSBASFrom them, through the further expansion of wisdom,
སངས་རས་བཞ་བཅ་ར་གཉས་བང༔SANGYáS XÍJUzAñÍS JYŭNThe forty-two Buddhas spring forth.
ཡ་ཤས་ལ་ཡ་རལ་ཤར་བས༔YEXES NÁYI zAL XARVASThrough the energy of the five wisdoms
ཁག་འཐང་དག་ཅ་ཐམ་པ་བང༔TRAGTùN DRŭGJUTAMBA JYŭNThe sixty Herukas arise.
ད་ཕར་གཞ་རག་འཁལ་མ་མང༔DĔqYIR XÍ RIG TRÙl MAñóNTherefore the instant presence of the base has never known delusion.
ཐག་མའ་སངས་རས་ང་ཡན་པས༔TOGMAI SANGYÁS NA YINBASAs I am the primordial Buddha,
ང་ཡ་སན་ལམ་བཏབ་པ་ཡས༔NAYI MÒNLAM DABBAYISBy pronouncing my invocation

ཁམས་གསམ་འཁར་བའ་སམས་ཅན་གས༔KAMSùM KÒRVAI SEMJANGYISMay all beings transmigrating in the three realms
རང་བང་རག་པ་ང་ཤས་ནས༔RANJYŭN RIGBA NOXESNASBecome aware of the state of self-originated instant presence
ཡ་ཤས་ཆན་པ་མཐའ་རས་ཤག༔YEXES qENBO TÀ GYÁS XOGSo that total wisdom may expand!
ང་ཡ་སལ་པ་རན་མ་ཆད༔NAYI DRULBA GYÚN MIqADMy emanations are unceasing.
བ་བ་ཕག་བར་བསམ་ཡས་འགད༔JYĔvA TRAG GYá SàMYAS GYèDI manifest inconceivable billions of them
གང་ལ་གང་འདལ་ས་ཚགས་སན༔GANlA GANDùL NÀCOG DONAccording to the various conditions of beings to be trained.
ང་ཡ་ཐགས་ར་སན་ལམ་གས༔NAYI TUGJé MÒNLAMGYISThrough my compassionate invocation
ཁམས་གསམ་འཁར་བའ་སམས་ཅན་ཀན༔KAMSùM KÒRVAI SEMJAN GUNMay all beings transmigrating in the three realms

གཞ་ལ་རག་པ་མ་ཤར་བས༔XíLA RIGBA MAXARVASInstant presence does not arise in the base
ཅ་ཡང་དན་མད་ཐམ་མ་བ༔JIYAN DRANMeD YeNBA YIN And so they fall into a blank state of unconsciousness,
ད་ཀ་མ་རག་འཁལ་པའ་ར༔DĔGA MARIG TRÙlBAI GYúThe very cause of ignorance and illusion.
ད་ལ་ཧད་ཀས་བརལ་བ་ལས༔DĔlA hADGYIS GYálvAlASFrom this sudden faint
དངངས་སག་ཤས་པ་ཟ་ཟར་འགས༔NÁNDRAG XeSBA SASĭR GYÙSThey emerge frightened, dizzy and agitated.
ད་ལས་བདག་གཞན་དགར་འཛན་སས༔DĔlAS DáG XáN DRáRzìN GYeSFrom this, the notion of self, other, and enemy arises.

ད་ལས་ཉན་མངས་དག་ལ་རས༔DĔlAS ñONMON DŭG NÁ GYÁSFrom this, the five poisonous emotions spread
དག་ལའ་ལས་ལ་རན་ཆད་མད༔DŭGNÁI LASLA GYÚNqAD MEDAnd the actions of the five poisons manifest unceasingly

ཀན་ཏ་བཏགས་པའ་མ་རག་པ༔GUNDU DAGBAI MARIGBAThe conceptual ignorance
བདག་གཞན་གཉས་ས་འཛན་པ་ཡན༔DÁG XÁN ñíSSU zÌNBA YINIs the dualism of self and others.
ལན་སས་ཀན་བརགས་མ་རག་གཉས༔LHANGYES GUNDAG MARIG ñíSThe two ignorances, co-emergent and conceptual,
སམས་ཅན་ཀན་ག་འཁལ་གཞ་ཡན༔SEMJAN GUNGYI TRùLXí YINAre the base of delusion for all beings.

SANGYÁS NAYI MÒNLAMGYISThrough this invocation of myself, the Buddha,

དན་མད་འཐབས་པའ་མན་པ་སངས༔DRANMeD TìBBAI MUNBA SANOf all beings in samsara dissolve,
གཉས་ས་འཛན་པའ་ཤས་པ་དངས༔ñÍSSU zìNBAI XeSBA DANMay dualistic perception be purified,
རག་པའ་རང་ང་ཤས་པར་ཤག༔RIGBAI RANNO XESBAR XOGAnd may all become aware of their state of instant presence!

བག་ཆགས་འཐག་པ་རམ་གས་བརས༔BAGqAG TÙGBO RIMGYIS DASThat gradually turns into thick habitual tendency,

ཟས་ནར་གས་དང་གནས་དང་གགས༔SAS NOR GŏS DAN NáS DAN DRŏG(Until one is) tormented by the desire and attachment for
pleasant things
འདད་ཡན་ལ་དང་བམས་པའ་གཉན༔DÒDYON Ná DAN JYAMBAI ñéN(Such as) food, wealth, clothes, places and friends,
ཡད་འང་ཆགས་པའ་འདད་པས་གདངས༔YIDhŏN qAGBAI DÒDBAS DÚNThe five objects of enjoyment and the beloved ones.
ད་དག་འཇག་རན་འཁལ་པ་ས༔DĔDAG JìGDeN TRÙlBA DeAll these are worldly illusions,
གཟང་འཛན་ལས་ལ་ཟད་མཐའ་མད༔SÚNzìN lASlA SADTà MeDAnd there is no end to dualistic actions.
ཞན་པའ་འབས་བ་སན་པའ་ཚ༔XĔNBAI DRàSBU MìNBAI CeWhen the fruit of attachment ripens
བརམ་ཆགས་གདང་བའ་ཡ་དགས་ས༔GAM qAG DÚNvAI YIDAG SUOne is reborn as a Preta tormented by craving:
སས་ནས་བཀས་སམ་ཡ་ར་ང༔GYESNAS DRESGOM YARENAHow much one does suffer from thirst and hunger!

འདད་པའ་གདང་བ་ཕར་མ་སངས༔DÒDBAI DÚNVA qYIR MABANWithout renouncing the passion of desire
འདད་ཆགས་ཞན་པ་ཚར་མ་བངས༔DòDqAG XĔNBA CUR MAláNOr accepting the attachment of desire,
ཤས་པ་རང་སར་གད་པ་ཡས༔XESBA RANSOR LÓDBAYISRelax their consciousness in its real nature
རག་པ་རང་ས་ཟན་གར་ནས༔RIGBA RANSO SĭN GYŭRNASAnd thus, with instant presence settled in its own place,
ཀན་རག་ཡ་ཤས་ཐབ་པར་ཤག༔GUNDOG YEXES TOBBAR XOGMay they obtain the wisdom of discrimination!
རག་པ་རང་ས་ཟན་གར་ནས༔RIGBA RANSO SĭN GYŭRNASAnd thus, with instant presence settled in its own place,

འཇགས་སག་ཤས་པ་ཕ་མ་འགས༔JÌGDRAG XESBA TRAMO GYùSArouses a subtle feeling of fear.
སང་བའ་བག་ཆགས་བརས་པ་ལས༔DÁNVAI BAGqAG DASBAlASWhen the habitual tendency towards aversion develops,
དགར་འཛན་བརག་གསད་ཧག་པ་སས༔DRÁRzÌN DéG SÒD HRAGBA GYESThe gross desire to beat and kill those conceived as enemies
arises.
ཞ་སང་འབས་བ་སན་པའ་ཚ༔XĔDáN DRÀSBU MÌNBAI CEWhen the fruit of anger ripens,
དམལ་བའ་བཙ་བསག་སག་ར་བསལ༔ñálvAI zO SèG DúG Re NÀLHow much one does suffer from being boiled and burnt in the hells!
སངས་རས་ང་ཡ་སན་ལམ་གས༔SANGYÁS NAYI MÒNLAMGYISThrough this invocation of myself, the Buddha,

སང་བང་མ་བ་རང་སར་གད༔BANLÁN MIJYA RANSOR LÓDMay they relax in their real nature without accepting or rejecting,
རག་པ་རང་ས་ཟན་གར་ནས༔RIGBA RANSO SĭN GYŭRNASAnd with instant presence settled in is own place
གསལ་བའ་ཡ་ཤས་ཐབ་པར་ཤག༔SÀLVAI YEXES TOBBAR XOGMay they obtain the wisdom of clarity!
གསལ་བའ་ཡ་ཤས་ཐབ་པར་ཤག༔SÀLBAI YEXES TOBBAR XOGMay they obtain the wisdom of clarity!
��.%.��རང་སམས་ཁངས་པར་གར་པ་ལས༔RANSEM KENBAR GYŭRBAlASWhen mind becomes inflated with pride,
གཞན་ལ་འགན་སམས་སད་པའ་བ༔XÁNLA DRÀN SEM MÀDBAI LÓCompetition and looking down upon others arises.

ང་རལ་དག་པའ་སམས་བསད་པས༔NAGYál DRAGBOI SeM GYeSBASWith the feeling of pride intensified,
བདག་གཞན་འཐབ་རད་སག་བསལ་སད༔DÁG XÁN TÀB zOD DÚGNÀL JYODThe suffering of quarrelling with others is experienced.
ལས་དའ་འབས་བ་སན་པའ་ཚ༔lAS DĔI DRàSBU MìNBAI CeWhen the fruit of this action ripens,
འཕ་ལང་མང་བའ་ལ་ར་ས༔PÒDUN ñÓNVAI LHARU GYEOne is reborn as a Deva experiencing the suffering of death and
downfall.
སངས་རས་ང་ཡ་སན་ལམ་གས༔SANGYÁS NAYI MÒNLAMGYISThrough this invocation of myself, the Buddha,
ཁངས་སམས་སས་པའ་སམས་ཅན་རམས༔KEN SEM GYESBAI SEMJANNÁMWhen beings feel inflated with pride,
ད་ཚ་ཤས་པ་རང་སར་གད༔DĔCe XeSBA RANSAR LÓDMay they relax their consciousness in its real nature
རག་པ་རང་ས་ཟན་གར་ནས༔RIGBA RANSO SĭN GYŭRNASAnd with instant presence settled in is own place

བདག་བསད་གཞན་སད་ཟག་རའ་ལས༔DáG DOD XáN MòD SŭGNÚI LASThe affliction of praising oneself and denigrating others arises.
འཐབ་རད་འགན་སམས་བརས་པ་ལས༔TÀB zOD DRÀNSEM DASBALASFrom this, fighting and competition manifest.
གསད་གཅད་ལ་མན་གནས་ས་ས༔SÒD JOD LHAMIN NÁSSU GYESOne is reborn in the Asura realm of killing and mutilation,
འབས་བ་དམལ་བའ་གནས་ས་ལང༔DRÀSBU ñÁLVAI NÁSSU DUNThe fruit of which is falling into the hells.
སངས་རས་ང་ཡ་སན་ལམ་གས༔SANGYÁS NAYI MÒNLAMGYISThrough this invocation of myself, the Buddha,

འགན་སམས་འཐབ་རད་སས་པ་རམས༔DRÀNSEM TÀB zOD GYESBANAMWhen beings feel competitive and the urge to fight,
དགར་འཛན་མ་བ་རང་སར་གད༔DRáR zìN MIJYA RANSAR LÓDMay they release the idea of ‘enemy,’ and relax in their real
nature.
ཤས་པ་རང་ས་ཟན་གར་ནས༔XESBA RANSO SĭN GYŭRNASWith consciousness settled in its own place
ཕན་ལས་ཐགས་མད་ཡ་ཤས་ཤག༔TRINLAS TOGMED YEXES XOGMay they obtain the wisdom of unhindered action!
ཤས་པ་རང་ས་ཟན་གར་ནས༔XESBA RANSO SĭN GYŭRNASWith consciousness settled in its own place
ཕན་ལས་ཐགས་མད་ཡ་ཤས་ཤག༔TRINLAS TOGMED YEXES XOGMay they obtain the wisdom of unhindered action!
��.%.��དན་མད་བཏང་སམས་ཡངས་པ་ལས༔ DRANMeD DANñÒM YENBA LASFrom unconsciousness, apathy and distraction,
འཐབས་དང་རགས་དང་བརད་པ་དང༔TìB DAN MúG DAN JéDBA DANDullness, mental darkness and forgetfulness,

བརལ་དང་ལ་ལ་གཏ་མག་པས༔GYál DAN LELO DIMUGBAS (Together with) fainting, laziness and stupidity,
འབས་བ་སབས་མད་བལ་སང་འཁམས༔DRàSBU GYABMeD JYŏlSON KYÀMThe consequence of roaming as an unprotected animal
(manifests).
སངས་རས་ང་ཡ་སན་ལམ་གས༔
SANGYÁS NAYI MÒNLAMGYISThrough this invocation of myself, the Buddha,
གཏ་མག་བང་བའ་མན་པ་ལ༔DIMUG JYĭNVAI MUNBALAMay the clear light of presence
དན་པ་གསལ་བའ་མདངས་ཤར་བས༔DRANBA SàlvAI DàN XARNASShine bright in the darkness of ignorance and torpor

ཀན་གཞ་སངས་རས་ང་དང་མཉམ༔GUNXí SANGYÁS NA DAN ñÁMAre equal to me, the Buddha, in the base of all,

དན་མད་འཁལ་པའ་གཞ་ར་སང༔DRANMeD TRÙlBAI XÍRU SONBut (for them) it has become the base of unconsciousness and
delusion,
ད་ལ་དན་མད་ལས་ལ་སད༔DADA DŏN MeD lASlA JYODAnd now they engage in pointless actions,
ལས་དག་ར་ལམ་འཁལ་པ་འད༔lAS DRŭG MÍlAM TRùLBA DRÀThe six actions (of the Six Lokas), like the delusions of a dream.
ང་ན་སངས་རས་ཐག་མ་ཡན༔NANI SANGYÁS TOGMA YINSince I am the primordial Buddha
འག་དག་སལ་པས་འདལ་བའ་ཕར༔DRò DRŭG DRUlBAS DÙlvAI qYIRTaming beings of the Six Lokas through my emanations,

སམས་ཅན་ཐམས་ཅད་མ་ལས་པ༔SEMJAN TAMJAD MALUSBAMay all beings without exception

སན་ལམ་སབས་ཆན་འད་བཏབ་པས༔MÒNLAM DOBqEN DÌ DABBASIn the natural clarity of undeluded instant presence,
འད་ཐས་སམས་ཅན་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀན༔DÌ TOS SEMJAN TAMJAD GUNAll beings who hear it
ས་བ་གསམ་ནས་མངན་འཚང་ར༔GYEVA SùMNAS NÓN CÀNGYÁWill attain enlightenment in three lifetimes.

ཉ་ཟ་གཟའ་ཡས་ཟན་པའམ༔ñI Dá SáYIS SĭNBAhAMAt the time of an eclipse of the sun or moon,
ས་དང་ས་གཡས་བང་བའམ༔ DRá DAN SAYÓS JYŭNvAhAMDuring an earth-rumbling or earthquake,
ཉ་མ་ལག་འགར་ལ་འཕ་དས༔
ñIMA DóG GYÙR lO pò DŭSAt the time of a solstice or change of the year,
རང་ཉད་ཀན་ཏ་བཟང་པར་བསད༔RANñID GUNDU SÁNBOR GYEDIf one visualizes oneself as Samantabhadra
ཀན་གས་ཐས་པར་འད་བརད་ན༔GUNGYIS TOSBAR DÌ JÓDNAAnd pronounces this invocation so that it is heard by all,
ཁམས་གསམ་སམས་ཅན་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀན༔
KAMSùM SEMJAN TAMJAD GUNAll beings of the three realms
རལ་འབར་ད་ཡ་སན་ལམ་གས༔
NálJYòR DĔYI MòNlAMGYISWill be liberated, one by one, from suffering
སག་བསལ་རམ་གས་གལ་ནས་ཀང༔
DÚGNàl RIMGYIS DRŏlNAS GYANAnd quickly achieve enlightenment
