• Full Time Courses
• Traineeship Courses- structured mode of training that enables you to learn a valuable skill in an actual work environment and earn a salary at the same time
2 Components:
On-the-job training :
-Work under supervision of an experienced and qualified trainer in the company & learn
the skills needed for the job
Off-the-job training :
-Attend theory and practical lessons at an ITE campus/training centre either full time for a few days or for one day a
week basis

Enhanced Nitec Foundation Programme (e-NFP)
Programme for weaker N(T) students to build the
necessary literacy & numeracy foundations
To enable ITE students to complete their NITEC
Courses.
What is the difference between Nitec Progamme and e-
NFP?
Students who opt for e-NFP will spend 3 years in ITE for
their NITEC Programme. 2 years of foundation training
before Career Core curriculum in 3rd year.

2 Year ITE NITEC
Year 1 (Foundation) – Modules on skills and
knowledge common among the Career Clusters
Year 2 (Career Core) – Modules for specialisation
within the cluster
Year 3 (Advanced Career Core) for GPA of > 3 in
NITEC – direct progression to Higher NITEC Year 2
OR
Year 3 (Higher NITEC Year 1) min GPA of 2.3 and 2.8 for
Engineering and Business Courses respectively

Students who wish to opt for EBS, will need to meet the 60th percentile in EL.
For SBB students who wish to take NA subjects, will need to meet a minimum of 50% overall for the subject.

It’s for those who have aptitudes and interestsin specific fields of study
• Focus on course-specific aptitudes and interests
• But, non-course-specific achievements, e.g. sports, performing arts, leadership, are also considered

1. Help your child discover his/her strengths and interests2. Research with your child the courses offered in ITE and related

career/industry4. Bring your child for industry talks/career fairs5. Connect your child with a relative, friend or neighbour who is
in the field that your child is exploring6. Support and encourage your child to attend school organised
activities (eg. ITE Open Houses, learning journeys, Elective Modules etc)
