Food & Beverage Business Firing Up Your Passion for the F&B Business
Build a strong foundation in Food & Beverage (F&B) management and operation with the Diploma in Food & Beverage Business.
This course provides students with the foundation for an F&B career before branching out to specialise in either F&B Management or Culinary Arts.
Students pursuing the F&B Management specialisation will learn about restaurant operations, while those in the Culinary Arts specialisation will be trained by renowned chefs and acquire knowledge about nutritional sciences as well as food safety and hygiene.
As part of the practical curriculum during the Teaching Enterprise Project (TEP) attachments, students have the opportunity to work with and be mentored by celebrity chefs at NYP’s training restaurant, L’Rez. Students can also gain hands-on experience in running an F&B establishment at the training cafe, L’Cafe. Culinary Arts specialisation students will get to produce their own culinary creations at the Central Kitchen.

1 On the day of the release of the GCE O Level examination results, Sec 4N(A) students who obtained an ELMAB3 (English, Maths, Best 3 Subjects) raw aggregate score of 11 points or better (excluding CCA bonus points) will be eligible to apply to NYPFP, provided that they have also obtained the minimum required grades listed in the table above.
To be eligible for admission, you must have also sat for one of the following subjects: Art/Art & Design, Business Studies, Combined Humanities, Commerce, Commercial Studies, Economics, Geography, Higher Art, Higher Music, History, Introduction to Enterprise Development, Literature in Chinese, Literature in English, Literature in Malay, Literature in Tamil, Media Studies (Chinese), Media Studies (English), Music, Principles of Accounts.
