Act of Spiritual Communion My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.
Pray, Hope, and Don’t Worry A Message from Fr. Raymond McDaniel, Pastor
During this uncertain time, please be reminded that whatever temporal troubles we may have to en-dure, our true homeland is in heaven, and Our Lord is ceaselessly at work for the cause of our eternal salvation.
If we have extra time in our houses, we can pray more, read more, interact more with family, and use the time well, most especially to grow in holi-ness and in dependence on Him. We will get through this, and our Faith will be stronger. God uses many unexpected ways and means to further His saving purposes, and He can and will use even this...
Most importantly, be at peace; He has overcome the world!
Opportunities to Receive Holy Communion Please visit our website, stphilipcc.org, for an updated schedule of op-portunities to receive Holy Communion, which is now distributed in our parking lot, observing safe social distancing.

A Note From Our Formation Staff
Throughout the many stages of life, we are shaped and formed by vari-ous situations and influences. The Formation Department of St. Philip’s exists to serve our parishioners throughout life’s many stages, helping you focus on the love of Christ and the steadfast home of our Church. We deeply care for the families we serve and we hope to be a constant place of encouragement, as we strive to be continuously formed and renewed in Faith, first and foremost. Any event we would have had LIVE, School of Evangelization, RCIA clas-ses, RCIA retreat, Good Life, Young Adult Lenten Retreat, etc., will be available at “Formation Online” (link below). Flocknotes will also be sent to those groups when videos are available. Check out St. Philip’s Online Formation at stphilipcc.org/formationonline If you need anything at all, please reach out to us through email and we will support you as best we can. Growing in Grace Lenten Journey to Transformation
Prayer for the Week: Jesus, I trust in You.
The Annunciation The Annunciation is when God sent the Angel Gabriel to visit Mary to announce she was chosen to be the mother of His Eternal Son, Jesus. But what belief and trust she had to be able to say, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word” (Luke 1:38). CCC 148 states that “Mary most perfectly embodies the obedience of faith …” with God nothing will be impossible.” When Mary surrenders to God’s plan, it is sometimes known as “Fiat” – yes. Her simple humility opens the doors of the new tabernacle to al-low us a closer encounter with God, the Father, through God, the Son. Would we have that courage to say those words? (Fiat) Could we say those words when we doubt small things and have a hard time surren-dering to God’s plan? Mary’s encounter with the Angel reminds us that we can say YES to God even when we do not know the outcome. Trust, like our Mother Mary’s, fully, innocently, and completely releases us to God’s will. How can we find that peace? Each of us can say YES – our Fiat – with our words, our deeds, almsgiving and spiritual surren-der, trusting in God and letting go of things we cannot control.
The Fiat (Yes) Prayer Holy Mary, Obtain for me the help that I need, to do my very best using all the powers within me and all the talents and skills I possess according to my possibilities, to fulfill God´s plan in every circumstance of my life. Source: https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/resources/prayers/marian-prayers/the-fiat-yes-prayer "What came about in bodily form in Mary, the fullness of the godhead shining through Christ in the Blessed Virgin, takes place in a similar way in every soul that has been made pure. The Lord does not come in bodily form, for ´we no longer know Christ according to the flesh´, but He dwells in us spiritually and the Father takes up His abode with Him, the Gospel tells us. In this way the child Jesus is born in each of us." ~ St. Gregory of Nyssa Courtesy of St. Philip Stewardship Committee

This week’s Puzzle Piece:
Spiritual Adoption Update: Month Two of Your Baby’s Development “I’m Dancing!” The baby is making rapid progress developing all her external and internal organs. During the sec-ond month baby teeth form and her fingers and toes are developing. Ears, nose, lips, and tongue can now be clearly seen. Even her brain waves can now be recorded. The skeleton changes from cartilage to bone. The central nervous system is now functioning and so forty muscle sets begin their first exercises. By 8 weeks all body systems are present and the baby is called a “fetus”, a Lat-in word meaning ‘little one” or “young one”. Ultra-sound reveals that this little one can now spring and jump--her first dance steps!
Please remember to pray daily for your spiritually adopted baby. Around 90% of abortions occur in this first trimester. Your baby is counting on you!
