Stewardship
God’s gift to me…. my gift to God
Stewardship is our response to God through time, talent, treasure and prayer. Stewardship is a call to dis-cipleship and a process of continuous formation and celebration. Disciples practice Stewardship as a way of life and good stewardship requires a total engagement and commitment from all parishioners so that together we may strengthen our parish community. Our challenge is to understand our role and vocation and re-spond to God’s call by becoming more involved in our St. George Community and giving more,
especially of ourselves.
The most important reason to give is that your church needs you.
Here are some ways on how you can give and contribute to the church:
Collection Envelopes:
Consider using the tithing envelopes that are mailed to you on a quarterly basis. Using the envelopes for the
Sunday collection, or by mailing your donation to the church, will allow you to keep track of your donations
and commitment. It also allows us to keep a record of your donation and give you the right credit for your tax
purposes each year when applicable.
Online giving:
Online giving is a web-based offertory solution that allows you the opportunity to make donations, payments
and pledges electronically from any location, at any time. Administration is simple and easy; you may set re-
curring donations, determine the date, time, and frequency of transactions (weekly, monthly, or yearly). You
will receive a receipt after each transaction; no contact with the office is needed. Just go to https://
www.stgeorgesa.org/donate-online/ and set up your recurring donation.
Create a memory for a loved one:
Everyone has the chance to create a Tribute in Honor or Memory of Someone. All parishioners and friends of
St. George Maronite Church have the opportunity to demonstrate their generosity by creating a lasting tribute
in honor of a loved one in a special way. There are many items needed for the church that you can donate. You
may also adopt a project to be done at the church. To acknowledge your contribution, an engraved plaque with
the commemoration will be added to the item purchased. Your contribution will be acknowledged and you will
receive a thank you letter for your donation for tax purposes. Please contact me or the church office for more
information.
The continued health and growth of our St. George community has another key component. The events noted
above require many hours of work and preparation in order to achieve the success we have enjoyed. Along
with that, our church ministries, youth activities and facility upkeep are fueled by your dedication and time.
