Obtain medical attention.
In case of skin contact Wash with plenty of water and soap.
If irritation occurs, continues and/or worsens, stop using the product, consult a physician
In case of eye contact Wash out immediately with fresh running water for several minutes.
Ensure complete irrigation of the eye by keeping eyelids apart and away from eye and moving the
eyelids by occasionally lifting the upper and lower lids, seek medical attention if irritation occurs.

5. FIREFIGHTING MEASURES
5.1 Extinguishing media
Suitable extinguishing
media
Use alcohol resistant foam, carbon dioxide (CO2), dry chemical and water spray.
Unsuitable extinguishing
media

5.2 Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Hazardous combustion
products
Upon burning toxic fumes of carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2) and various
hydrocarbons may be emitted.
Unusual fire & explosion
hazards
Vapours may travel long distances toward sources of ignition (flash back).
Closed containers may rupture violently and suddenly when exposed to fire or excessive heat for a
sufficient period of time.
5.3 Advice for firefighters
Special firefighting
procedures
Do not approach containers suspected to be hot.
Cool fire exposed containers with water spray from a protected location.
If safe to do so, remove containers from path of fire.
Water used to extinguish fire should not enter drainage systems, soil, or stretches of water.
Contaminated fire-extinguishing water must be disposed of in accordance with the regulations
issued by the appropriate local authorities.

Ethanol [CAS# 64-17-5]:
There is no information about sensitizing effects.
2,2',2''-nitrilotriethanol [CAS# 102-71-6]:
May cause allergic contact dermatitis in some people.22
Mutagenicity Based on available data, the classification criteria are not met.
Ethanol [CAS# 64-17-5];
Mutagenic effects were definitely determined in animal experiments, however the
corresponding dosages were already distinctly toxic. Therefore, the germ cell-mutagenic
potential is considered to be negligible under these conditions.
2,2',2''-nitrilotriethanol [CAS# 102-71-6]:
In various bacterial test systems, in cell cultures and in a micronucleus test on mice, did
not show any genotoxic activity.23 Nevertheless, a mutagenic effect was not excluded as a
consequence of exposure to Triethanolamine in a mixture with diethanolamine and nitrite
as contaminants (formation of the nitrosamine).
Carcinogenicity This product contains a component which is identified as carcinogen by NTP,24 IARC25 or
OSHA26 in case of long-term intake of large amounts in the form of alcoholic beverages.
Ethanol [CAS# 64-17-5]:
IARC Group 1: Carcinogenic to humans (Only for the ethanol in alcoholic beverages)
2,2',2''-nitrilotriethanol [CAS# 102-71-6]:
Not classifiable as to its carcinogenicity to humans (IARC Group 3).
In a two-year study, female B6C3F1 mice were exposed to Triethanolamine via skin (100,
300, 1000 mg/kg, 5 days a week). Carcinogenic activity has been observed in the form of
increased hepatocellular adenoma. It was concluded that this effect is likely caused by
choline-depletion.
IARC Group 1: Carcinogenic to humans. Long term intake of large amounts in the form of alcoholic
beverages can cause tumors in the oral cavity/pharynx, larynx, gullet, liver and probably also in the
breast and bowels.
IARC Group 3: This category is used most commonly for agents, mixtures and exposure
circumstances for which the evidence of carcinogenicity is inadequate in humans and inadequate or
limited in experimental animals.
Fertility, Reproductive and
Developmental Toxicity
(Teratogenicity)
Based on available data, the classification criteria are not met.
Ethanol [CAS# 64-17-5];
Reduced fertility and an influence on the sex hormone level for humans and in animal
experiments were clearly detected only following oral intake of high doses. Developmental-
toxic effects (alcohol embryopathy) following oral intake of high doses has also been clearly
demonstrated.
2,2',2''-nitrilotriethanol [CAS# 102-71-6]:
In the dermal subchronic studies, neither rats nor mice showed any significant changes to
motility, morphology and quantity of the sperm or the estrus cycle.
Specific Target Organ Toxicity
-Single exposure
Based on available data, the classification criteria are not met.
Specific Target Organ Toxicity
-Repeated exposure
Based on available data, the classification criteria are not met.
Aspiration hazard Based on available data, the classification criteria are not met

Legislation addressing waste disposal requirements may differ by country, state and/or
territory.
Each user must refer to laws operating in their area, in some areas, certain wastes must be
tracked.
Do not allow wash water from cleaning or process equipment to enter drains, it may be
necessary to collect all wash water for treatment before disposal.
In all cases disposal to sewer may be subject to local laws and regulations and these should be
considered first, where in doubt contact the responsible authority.
Recycle wherever possible or consult manufacturer for recycling options.
Consult State Land Waste Management Authority for disposal.
According to the European Waste Catalogue (EWC53), waste codes are not product specific
