For those producing batteries only Box supplied with internal divider and
container for lithium batteries:-• 2.5 litres, or• 5 litres
Special procedure for lithium batteries applies
Haz Box Dimensions: H: 38 cm, W: 54 cm (60.5 cm incl handles), Depth: 39. 5cm
Volume: 55 litres
Maximum container size: Individual items must be 5 litre/kg or less
Maximum weight: Preferably <20 kg. If the Haz-Box does go over this, we will not refuse to collect it for this reason unless it is exceptionally heavy and it is not feasible for the driver to empty it.
Lithium Batteries: can be collected in small volumes if properly protected against fire hazard
General• Ensure all items are sealed and protected against leakage• Keep in a well ventilated area and away from unauthorised access
• One off payment for a 55 litre lidded plastic box
• Container remains on site
• Wastes are segregated on the collection vehicle
• Segregation allows many items to be recycled• Collected on a pre-arranged schedule (e.g. weekly,
fortnightly, monthly or quarterly)
• Payment & paperwork for each
collection/disposal.
