AN EXTRAORDINARY EXPERIENCE
DYNAMIC
Russia offers the experience of a lifetime—the most dynamic possible experience of the FIFA World Cup™.
Each Host City reveals a new world with distinctive culture and geography. Each stadium provides a captivating and inspiring atmosphere for the world’s greatest event.
All will enjoy a rich and varied experience in the Host Cities. The history and power of Moscow. The grace and wonder of Saint Petersburg. The European allure of Kaliningrad. The subtropical charms of Sochi. The mysterious and enchanting culture of Kazan. Iconic new and historic stadiums will enhance the landscape, thrill the fans, and create the ideal setting for football.
ACCESSIBLE
Russia has created a concept for the most globally accessible tournament in history. We will deliver the greatest sport to the greatest number of people through a compact and efficient plan.
• More than 80% of Russia’s total population lives within close proximity of a Host City, ensuring maximum attendance at all matches.
• Russia shares borders with 18 neighbouring countries, promising a significant influx of nearby international visitors.
• The 4 Host City clusters and the City of Yekaterinburg offer a strategically compact and efficient plan within an immense nation.
• The 13 proposed Host Cities feature stadiums in the city centres and on the waterfronts, easing impact of transportation and enhancing the experience for visitors, as well by their unique locations within the respective Host Cities making the stadiums landmarks of the Cities.
INSPIRING
Staging the FIFA World Cup™ in Russia for the first time will bring unprecedented attention to the great game.
Football will touch millions of new hearts and minds in Russia’s own young and dynamic population and in the wider regions of Western Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East like never before.
In building new stadiums we have the opportunity to create venues which are specifically designed for football. This combined with a visual aesthetic which draws inspiration from each Host City will only enhance the atmosphere of the stadiums during match time, a feeling which will permeate the tournaments.
With the experience of its historic venues and iconic new stadiums, Russia will capture the imaginations of viewers and visitors from around the globe. As the meeting point between East and West, Russia will bring the world together through football.

BEAUTY, SUSTAINABILITY, LEGACY
THE POSITIVE IMPACT ON SPORT, SOCIETY, ENVIRONMENT, AND ECONOMY
The stadium sites showcase the beauty of the Host Cities. Stadiums on the riverfronts offer stunning views. These boldly designed structures enhance their respective city skylines through their innovation and scale. Leading architecture respects the natural environment and blends with the landscape. The excitement in the stadium and the energy of the city will enhance the experience for all.
• Stadiums in the city centres will reduce the overall amount of vehicle traffic, encourage public transportation, and minimise individual travel times.
• Environmental impact from development is minimal, as no extra landscape will be used and no additional ground must be sealed
• Design and construction is focused on reduction of the use of energy, water, and materials, combined with the elimination of waste, CO2, and noise. Production principles on the construction site and recycling systems during the construction and the operation of the stadiums will be established.
• Waterfront locations will encourage new development along the rivers, enriching the visitors’ experience in each city while creating a legacy of long-term economic growth.
• Designed to be downsized after the FIFA World Cup™, the legacy stadiums will appropriately serve the needs of the local football club.
Russia’s new stadium landscape will profoundly advance the game of football and the practise of sport in our cities and across our nation.
