Reported commands
Description of the contents
Reported commands
When a command or request is reported, the indirect speech is introduced by a verb expressing command or request. We also change the imperative mood into the infinitive.
The IMPERATIVE verbal form turns into TO + “INFINITIVE” (Affirmative) NOT + TO + “INFINITIVE” (Negative)
• Examples.-
– Father: "Do your homework!“ Father told me to do my homework.– Teacher. "Don't talk to your mate!" The teacher told me not to talk
to my mate.

Let’s see how we change the type

the night before / the previous night.
Reported Questions
VII CICLO DE INGENIERÍA DE SISTEMAS E INFORMÁTICA
When you report a wh-question into reported question, you will see that:~ the introductory verb is asked, not said;
~ the question word who is kept;
~ the word order becomes subject (she) verb (met)
~ the substance ends with a full stop(.);
not a question mark(?) and
~ the verb tense, pronoun and time expression change in the same way as in reported statements.
