+:+ The shallow soil covers 9026 ha which is 72.85% of the total survey area of 12390 ha.
+:+ The moderately deep to deep soil covers 2302 ha which is 18.58% of the total survey area.
+:+ The very deep soil covers 646 ha which 5.21% of the total survey area .
•:. An area of 6960 ha (56.17%) suffers from moderate erosion hazards .
•:. An area of 5014 ha (40.47%) is having the problem of severe erosion hazards needs immediateattention for soil water conservation measures .
•:. An area of759 ha (6.12%) occurs on very gentle slope and 4408 ha (35.58%) area is undergentle slope .
•:. An area of 1575 ha (12.71%) occurs on moderately sloping and 1843 ha (14.87%) area is understrongly sloping .
•:. An area of 1654 ha (13.35%) occurs on moderately steep sloping and 1735 ha (14.0%) area isunder steep slope .
•:. An area of 5839 ha (47.13%) under reserve forest which is subject to unabated degradation dueto illicit felling of trees and agriculture encroachment and needs immediate attention forafforestation programme.
