An event to celebrate the Retirement of our International President, Dr. Sandra L. Gadson.
Recording Artist Regina Belle will be our special guest at the “Presidential Gala,” so be
there to witness an unforgettable performance. The cost of a ticket for the Expo is $50, so
get your ticket early. If tickets are still available, on-site ticket sales will be held on
Saturday, July 13, until 12 noon only.
International President’s Golf Tournament
President’s Golf Tournament is located at the Rosen Shingle Creek on Saturday, July 13,
starting at 8:00 a.m. Cost is $75 per person. Format: 2 person Scramble with prizes
awarded for closest to the pin, longest drive, hole-in-one. For questions and registration

Life Members Celebration - Mrs. Vanessa E. Clayton, Chairman
In preparation for an exciting Life Members Celebration, all District Chairmen are asked
to meet Mrs. Clayton immediately following the 3:00 p.m., Sunday, July 14, Official
Opening Service. The Life Members Celebration will begin at 8:00 p.m. that evening in
the Gatlin Ballroom. We will begin lining up for the Processional at 7:30 p.m. Please
bring your Life Matron, Life Patron, or Life Member stole and a battery-operated flash-
light. Don’t forget to bring your large white handkerchief. Ladies, all stoles are to be
worn over white attire. The men should wear white or dark suits with their stole.
All stole orders are due in the WH&OMS Centralized Office by May 1, 2019 (no
exceptions) if they are to be counted towards the Lenora Cooke Crutchfield Award. (This
award is for the most stoles purchased during this Quadrennium.)
All “Heart for Overseas Missions” stole orders (HOM/HOP) are due to WH&OMS
Centralized Office by June 1, 2019 (no exceptions) to be counted towards the (3) three
“Heart for Overseas Missions” purchases, within this Quadrennium, to receive the
WH&OMS Medallion. These medallions will be given during the program on Sunday
night.
Sacrificial Legacy - Mrs. Jacqueline I. Williams-Lartey, Chairperson
Lomax-Hannon Junior College in Greenville, Alabama will be the recipient of the
Sacrificial Legacy offering for this Quadrennium. The launching of the Sacrificial Legacy
occurred at the 24th Quadrennial Convention to provide a financial ministry to be “Sowers
of Good Seed” for the Host Episcopal District of the convention. Come prepared to give.
Funds will be collected on Sunday, July 14 at 3:00 p.m. during our Official Opening
Ceremony.
Communion Worship Service
The Board of Bishops will conduct the Communion Worship Service on Sunday, July 14,
at 9:00 a.m. in the Gatlin Ballroom. All missionaries are asked to wear white attire.
Overseas Luncheon - Mrs. Laurenna Crenshaw, Chairperson
The Overseas Luncheon will be an opportunity for our Overseas Delegation to share
certain aspects of their culture with the entire Convention Delegation, in their own creative
manner. Slip on your cultural attire and join us for this event, Monday, July 15 at 12:00
p.m. in the Panzacola Ballroom F/G. Only registered delegates, registered non-delegates, and registered observers may attend.

Y.A.M.S. Celebration will occur in the
Gatlin Ballroom to highlight the District
Coordinators, Local Coordinators, and
Local Y.A.M.S. The requested attire for
the evening is departmental colors, peach
and taupe. A Y.A.M.S. Choir will be
featured and practice will be announced
on Sunday evening. In addition, a
Y.A.M.S. Social, an informal gathering
for all young adults, will be held after the
Y.A.M.S. Celebration at 10:00 p.m. in
the Conway Room.

29th Quadrennial Convention Workshops

Thought-provoking group workshops are planned for the afternoon of Wednesday, July 17.
Registrants can enjoy their lunch while participating in an Environmental Stewardship
Town Hall meeting at 1:00 p.m. and then choose (2) two workshops based upon their
selection and the availability of such by order of preference.

The discussion will focus on our environment, the air we breathe, the water we drink, and
the food we eat – is it safe? Workshop Times: 2:15 p.m.-3:00 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.-4:00 p.m.
1. Balm In Gilead-Healthy Churches 2020 presents “Aging Gracefully” (2 Parts) - A
wellness journey to understanding and living with Alzheimers and Dementia for you and
the Caretaker. A national, multi-platform initiative bringing public health and faith
together.
2. My Purpose - Discovering and stirring up those spiritual and physical gifts that
maximize God’s purpose for you.
3. Match.Com - A look at Christian dating and relationships for singles.
4. #Missions Matter - Discovering and defining local Society’s departmental goals to
establish successful mission programs.
5. Money Makeover - A fresh glimpse at money issues and achieving financial freedom.
6. Racism: A Reality Still – Looking at ways of living beyond the color line.
7. Voting Right – Establishing strategic planning and partnerships in voting from local to
national.
8. Bread for the World - A collective Christian voice urging our nation’s decision makers
to end hunger at home and abroad.

The Agape Luncheon is a Second Mile
Project established in honor of Mary
Gaither Meeks, former First Vice-
President of the W.H.&O.M. Society.
During the Agape Luncheon,
recognition will be given to the highest
contributors to Second Mile. Also, the
walker reporting the highest amount for
the Vilma D. Leake Walk-A-Mile held
at the convention will be honored. The
Luncheon will be held Tuesday, July
16 at 12:30 p.m. in the Panzacola
Ballroom F/G. The ticket for this
Luncheon is included with registration
and, if sold separately, the ticket is $50.

On July Wednesday, July 17, 2019, this Celebratory Event will be held in the Gatlin
Ballroom, to honor retiring Executive Board members: Dr. Sandra L. Gadson, Mrs.
Jacqueline R. French, Mrs. Vicki L. Breaux, Mrs. Sara S. Cherrington, and Missionary
Supervisor, Mrs. Iris. M. Battle. Dress in evening attire. Banquet Ticket is included in the
Registration. The cost is $65, if purchased separately. On-site sales are available until
Monday, July 15, 6:00 p.m. only.
Prayer Breakfast - Mrs. Sara Cherrington, General Secretary
The Prayer Breakfast will begin at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 18 in the Panzacola
Ballroom. All missionaries are asked to wear white. The ticket for the Prayer Breakfast is
included for registered persons. The cost is $40, if purchased separately. Mrs.
Cherrington will present her quadrennial report.
#MissionsMatter Community Outreach
The Society is sponsoring a "No Child Hungry" Meal Packing Event, a feeding program
of My Neighbor's Children. This Mission Outreach Project will take place in-house at the
Rosen Shingle Creek on Thursday, July 18 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. in Panzacola G1.
We will be working in shifts and everyone is invited to volunteer and donate your time.
My Neighbor's Children provides everything needed for packing. They deliver and pick
up. Our job is to pack the meals and box them on-site. Our GOAL is 20,000 meals. The
cost per meal is $0.30 for a total of $6,000. In order to raise the funds, we are asking each
Delegate to give a donation of ($10) ten dollars minimum towards the outreach project.
Funds will be collected on Tuesday morning, July 16, as Delegates enter the opening
session for the day.
Pump up the donations now so this outreach will pay for itself! If anyone wants to
donate, who will not be attending or just wants to make a donation from their area to
support, you can send in funds now! Send the funds to the WH&OMS Centralized Office,
marked for “My Neighbor's Children.” Checks are payable to WH&OMS.
Memorial Service, Mrs. D. Diane Proctor, Chairperson
A “Moments of Remembrance” Service will memorialize departed Zion church leaders
and missionaries who have made valuable contributions and sacrifices for the cause of
Kingdom building and missions. The service will be held on Thursday, July 18 at 9:15
a.m. in the Gatlin Ballroom. All missionaries are asked to wear white attire.

The Women’s Home and Overseas Missionary Society Executive Board for the 2019-
2023 Quadrennium will be installed at the Installation Service on Thursday evening,
July 18, at 8:00 p.m. in the Gatlin Ballroom.
The Y.A.M.S. Domestic Violence Prayer
Book will be ready for purchase in the
Bookstore. The book is a compilation of
prayers written by District Coordinators,
Local Coordinators, Local Y.A.M.S., and
other members across The A.M.E. Zion
Church.
Take some quiet time and visit the
WH&OMS Prayer Closet. If we are
prayed up, we will have a powerful
convention!
Morning Glory begins at 6:00 a.m. each
morning and you are welcome to drop in
anytime for meditation and prayer. The
Prayer Closet, located in Suwannee 13,
will remain open until 11:00 p.m. daily.
The Convention Choir will render the
music at the Sunday morning Commun-
ion Worship Service, the Grand Open-
ing on Sunday afternoon, and the Installa-
tion Worship Service on Thursday even-
ing.
