MATERiAlSRCT Redline uses proprietary mold and layup design, combined with the latest monocoque manufacturing technology to develop RCT frames and parts. Redline use the best mix of standard and high modulus materials to optimize these frames and parts for the best combination of strength, stiffness, and weight.

R-6 Alloy is a proprietary high-strength aluminum that is structurally superior to 6061 aluminum and is used exclusively on Redline frames. Minimal weight and maximum strength have always been the essential inspiration. The tensile strength of R6 is an average of 33% better than 6061 alloy material. Due to its exceptionally high strength, we are able to use a thinner gauge of tubing. This results in frames that are some of the lightest available, up to 20% lighter than frames built with 6061 alloy material, while still maintaining the greatest durability and exceptional handling.

4130 Chromoly has been a Redline staple since day one. The first Redline forks, frame and cranks were built with aircraft-quality 4130 Chromoly. We carefully selected the best ways to use this strong and light material. Some frames & forks have a few key areas reinforced with chromoly tubes, while others are built entirely from this exceptional material.

Sanko tubing from Japan is a premium-grade 4130 Chromoly. Due to its strength, we are able to use double-butted tubing - meaning that it’s thicker where it needs to be (at the welding area) and is thinner in the mid-sections of the tube. This makes for a lighter, yet stronger frame.

6000-series aluminum is a proven industry standard. 6061-T6 is strong and light, and has been used on our bikes for the past decade. It allows us to build dedicated products that are some of the strongest, lightest & fastest available, yet at prices that won’t break the bank.
