When arriving in New York, Holly auditioned for The Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre School; she was
accepted right away, at the same time she also booked the front cover of New York Magazine. During
the first couple of years in New York, Holly was modeling for International designers in New York for
Couture Fashion Week and Panama for Panama International Fashion week. Holly was also dancing
for The Alpha Omega Dance Company and Alvin Ailey third company, working with choreographers
such as Christopher Huggins. But Holly always knew that music was something she wanted to
pursue, she started writing and recording with different producers, and performed one of her earlier
songs at Couture Fashion week after party at Nikki Beach club in New York.
She then performed on the Robert Goins show at The Times Square Art Center. After finishing the
certificate program at Alvin Ailey Holly wanted to focus on nothing but her music and so she spent
one year recording and writing, finding herself as an artist. She worked with producer/vocalist/writer
Pepe Castrow, whilst also during this time was working for Daniel Mulhern Entertainment performing
in Atlantic City.
Eventually, after performing in small showcases she connected with top 10 DJ in France Franck
Dona. Franck produced her new single ‘What Money Wants Money Gets’, and slowly her team started
to build, people were believing in her art and helping her build her brand. Holly started performing for
designers whilst still modeling in their shows. She performed her single at The Sky Room, for Italian
designer Pamela Quinzi’s one year anniversary. She then performed at The Time Warner Cable
building, Samsung for The International Fashion Tour Event. Holly is still performing in clubs around
New York (Marquee, Chelsea Room, and Copacabana) and now is working with DJ Ray Love from
K104.7 and FOXX code magazine.
Holly has recently been featured in Hampton Daze Magazine, Entrigue Magazine, Millennium
Magazine, Hot Stepz magazine and GetOut Weekly.
Holly is driven, passionate and gives thanks everyday for all the opportunities presented to her and
the supportive team that have helped her make her dreams reality every day.
Holly T was born in London with the
passion for music and dance. By age 11, she
was performing in the West End of London
in ‘The Long Winding Road’ a Beatles tribute
at The Theatre Royal Drury Lane. At a young
age her artistic talent was clearly
recognized. By 17, she was awarded a
scholarship to The Urdang Academy in
London, where she studied Musical Theatre.
At the Academy Holly truly explored her
singing skills. After Holly finished her
studies, working with different productions,
she fulfilled her dream of coming to America
to pursue her career.

Macy’s Passport Presents Glamorama 2012
A Brief Overview of the Media Preview
Byline: Olivia N. Castañeda
If chit chatter did not distract you, then you caught the
sudden appearance of the countdown to show time on
the big screen, which caused my anticipation to fire-up
like a New Year’s Eve night. Macy’s Passport Presents Glamorama 2012 was held
in Chicago at the Harris Theater in Millennium Park, and yours truly attended the
press event/dress rehearsal, getting an exclusive preview, hours before the live
show. This year’s theme, along with the rest of the world’s, was The British Invasion:
The music then. The Fashion Now! All proceeds benefitted the Ronald McDonald
House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana (RMHC).
The very entertaining one-hour afternoon event opened with a live acoustic
performance by Macy’s iHeartradio rising star winners Megan and Liz. Following
was a heart-warming story and live appearance by Janae McVey, a 15-year-old girl
who is battling cancer with the help and support of RMHC. Her family was “selected
by RMHC to serve as the Ambassador Family” for the event, according to the press
release. After McVey, the large velvet curtain opened, the music began and in came
the fierce walks of the first models sporting the trendiest color- burgundy- and
preppy London-inspired, ready-to-wear fashions for the upcoming fall season.
Pleated miniskirts, anything-checkered print, knee-high socks for women, leather
jackets, faux- I hope! -fur, cropped jackets and pants, cargo pants and military-style
coats were all the rage on stage for designers Tommy Hilfiger, Impulse Brands,
Armani Jeans, Hugo Boss, Tallia, Bar III and RACHEL Rachel Roy. Models for Jean-
Paul Gaultier entered and exited the stage through an elevator posed as a red
telephone booth. Women strutted in romantic gothic pieces. Lace and flower printed
knee-length dresses were paired with rough chain necklaces and black leather
jackets. Female dancers and children modeled very punk looks- which will surely be
against most school dress policies -for Material Girl in bright neon colors, schoolgirl
and boy outfits with neckties, and studded belts and chokers. Marc Jacobs
presented beautiful over-sized, textured women’s top hats in pale colors, with knee-
length dresses in purism colors and single-buttoned waist-length boxy coats. Sean
Jean presented three-piece suits for men with R&B music playing in the
background, giving a let’s-get-down-to-business vibe.
And Donna Karan New York once again epitomized the strong career woman look:
sharp black and army green pencil skirt suits with tasteful peek-a-boo skin in the
upper back. The look was topped, of course, with an English hat. It was here that
occurred the only wardrobe malfunction. A model wearing a black sleeveless suit
with white cuffs lost one cuff while exiting the stage. What a scandal, we saw her
wrist.
The event kept the crowd drawn in with other performances by the chart-topping duo
Karmin and hip-hop and break dancing performances. The ending left us all with
blushing laughter and giggles, when muscular male models un-modestly posed in
black and white Diesel boxers as English police officers and wig-wearing politicians,
whilst a slouching woman dressed in a nightgown and a salt-and-pepper curly-hair wig
chased the lads to pinch their behinds! Oh how I would have loved to participate with
her.
This was my first Macy’s Glamorama, and was a tad sad that I could not be at the
actual public event at night. But the rehearsal did not disappoint, and with the ending
just mentioned, I felt satisfied enough to think, perhaps I am not missing anything later.
And as Karmin sang, cheerio!
