Domotics Definition:In latin, the word domus means home.

The word domotics means literally home robotics. The field of domotics encompasses all phases of smart home technology, including the highly sophisticated sensors

and controls that automate temperature, lighting, security systems, and many other functions.

To learn more about domotics.

What is home automation ? Have you ever wondered, "What is home automation?" It's a way

to integrate and control your home's systems efficiently and economically

What is Home Automation ?

Named the “Zero Home,” it comes equipped with solar panels and an energy management system that includes a smart thermostat and energy analytics. So the house can coordinate solar production with energy usage. It also comes with an electric vehicle charging station. All the technology is provided by home automation ;

• Home automation systems integrate electrical devices with one another. The systems controlled through home automation are sometimes connected to the home's computer network, letting homeowners control them remotely from their computers or mobile devices

Security control, Many automated home security systems are now capable of Operating via the home's wireless network—which means thathomeowners can control the security system remotely from within the home, or from virtually anywhere in the world with an internet connection. Increasingly, companies who manufacture and install home security systems also offer apps that allow homeowners to monitor and manipulate their home security system from smart phones or other mobile devices.

3– MISSIONS OF HOME AUTOMATION ?

Energy-producing ;Smart Home gives more than it takes

SH hold the potential for : Increasing the energy efficiency Decreasing costs of energy use Decreasing the carbon footprint by including clean energy.

3– MISSIONS OF HOME AUTOMATION ?

Page 19

Energy-producing ;Smart Home gives more than it takes

• Installing solar panels can decrease your household’s carbon footprint by an average of 35,180 pounds of carbon dioxide per year. You’d have to plant 88 trees every year to offset that amount of carbon dioxide!

This 'Smart Home' Makes More Power Than It Consumes

• The builders of this house claim it will be the first of its kind for this climate: a smart home that produces more energy than it consumes.

INSIDE BILL GATES' HOME, Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates' home just outside of Seattle, might be the most famous smart home to date. Everyone in the home is pinned with an electronic tracking chip. As you move through the rooms, lights come on ahead of you and fade behind you. Your favorite songs will follow you throughout the house, as will whatever you're watching on television. You can entertain yourself by looking at Gates' extensive electronic collection of still images, all available on demand. The chip keeps track of all that you do and makes adjustments as it learns your preferences. When two different chips enter the same room, the system tries to compromise on something that both people will like.

• Smart homes may make life easier and more comfortable. Who wouldn't love being able to control lighting, entertainment and temperature from his bed? Whether you're at work or on vacation, the smart home will alert you to what's going on, and Security systems can be built to provide an immense amount of help in an emergency. For example, not only would a resident be woken with notification of a fire alarm, the smart home would also unlock doors, dial the fire department and light the path to safety.
