Refunds Policy
RSTCG operates a refund under the
following condi�ons:
· If the training services promised
to learners are not provided and
evidence is provided in support.
· If the registered learner is ill and not able to a�end classes before commencement or if the registered learner dies before commencement of classes.
· Subs�tute learners may be sent in the place of those who are taken ill or die before the commencement of the training programme. The College need to be informed of subs�tu�ons as soon as possible. The learner can be transferred once to any other of the other College programmes, or course running within 6 months, provided the College is no�fied by le�er or by email no later than 10 working days before the commencement date of the course.

The College does not offer bursaries and
students are encouraged to follow the
applica�on procedure for Government

Cancella�ons
· Booking cancella�ons must be made by le�er or by email.
· Cancella�ons made no later than 10 days prior to the commencement of the course/event will not incur any cancella�on fee.
· Cancella�ons made between 5 and 10 days prior to the course/event will incur a 15% cancella�on fee.
· Any cancella�on made within 5 working days prior to the commencement of the course/event dates will incur a 60% cancella�on fee.
· Non-arrivals will a�ract the full event/course fee.
Examina�ons:
Only students who have registered for full-
�me and part-�me programmes and who
have complied with the requirements will
be allowed to enter for examina�ons.
ASSIGNMENTS AND CONTINUOUS
ASSESSMENT TESTS
These are compulsory and students will
not be allowed to write examina�ons if
they do not par�cipate in class
assignments and tests.

• Students must be punctual
• Students who arrive five minutes late a�er the
start of the period will be regarded as late (but will
be allowed in class) and indicated as present on
the register.
· Students may not be denied access to class unless
they cause/display disrup�ve behaviour. In the
case where the student is late three or more
consecu�ve days per subject such a student
should be marked absent on the fourth day by the
subject lecturer.
· Regular student absenteeism and late coming will
be followed up by contac�ng parents/guardians/
employers/ sponsors within the relevant
facul�es/ departments for disciplinary ac�on.
· Class a�endance, academic/ programme progress
and disciplinary warning(s) will affect students’
tes�monials.
· A special cer�ficate will be awarded for 100%
a�endance.

· A�endance will be used as one of the criteria for placement of students in job
situa�ons or learnerships.
· If a student was absent for three or more consecu�ve lecturing days due to death
of a family member, evidence must be provided on the day he/she resumes
classes. If absenteeism was due to illness, a medical cer�ficate must be submi�ed
immediately on the day he/ she commences class.
· If a test/internal examina�on/assessment was not wri�en and a medical note or
evidence of death of a family member was not submi�ed, a zero (0) mark will be
entered on the mark sheet.
· Pregnant students: A medical cer�ficate, sta�ng the due date of birth, must be
submi�ed as soon as the pregnancy is confirmed.
The student must take maternity leave for the last 4 weeks of the pregnancy unless a
medical cer�ficate is submi�ed that allows the student to con�nue a�ending classes.
· Students may not leave the venues during periods/lecturing �mes unless the
necessary permission has been obtained from the lecturers.
· Cell phones must be switched off at all �mes in
(a) Lecture rooms,
(b) Examina�on rooms,
(c) Assemblies and
(d) During mee�ngs
· All personal appointments should be made a�er lecturing hours, over weekends
or during vaca�ons. Absence due to such appointments will be regarded as non –
a�endance, even if a student no�fied his/ her lecturers.
· Clothing should be neat and acceptable in a societal and corporate environment
and students’ bags free of provoca�ve or offensive statements, slogans or signs.

Germiston (RSTG) is a Private Further
Educa�on and Training College that
opened in June 2010. The following

Please note: A registra�on fee is payable
upon registra�on either by bank deposit
into the College account with FNB or
cash payment at the College. It is
important that the registra�on number
as provided by the College should
appear on the deposit slip as reference.
Students will only be registered upon
