Thegoalofthistrain-the–trainerworkshopistoprepareAmericanIndianstouseaproposaldevelopmenttrainingmanualandvideomodulesdevelopedbyDr.JuneStricklandtosupporttribesinimplementingproposaltrainingintheircommunities.Thislessonplancontainsanoutlineoftheworkshopgoalandobjectives,alessonplanforimplementingthetraining,aswellascopiesofallneededmaterialsincludinganevaluationform.Onepowerpointisalsoincludedtousethroughouttheworkshop.Thisworkshophasbeendesignedtobecompletedinonehalfdayinabout3-4hours.
Asmaybenotedinthelessonplan,thefirstpartofthedayisdevotedtointroductionsandtheprovisionofanoverviewofthemanual.Thesecondpartofthedayisdevotedtosmallgroupdiscussionofimplementationconsiderations

TrainingGoal:
TofamiliarizeparticipantswiththeAAIPProposalDevelopmentTrainingManual,includingthecontent,format,lessonplans,andhowtousethemanual.
Objectives:Attheendofthistraining,participantswill:
1.) KnowandbeabletodescribethehistoryofthedevelopmentofthisProposalDevelopmentTrainingManualandrelatedvideotapes;
2.) Beabletoidentifytheircommunityneedsforproposaldevelopmenttraining;
3.) KnowthecontentoftheTrainingManualandhowtouseit;
4.) IdentifystepstotakeiftheyareabletoimplementpilottrainingusingtheProposalDevelopmentTrainingmanualintheircommunities.
