Nutrition & Services for Seniors!
aerial photo by Tim Sudela ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, we will construct 158"x 8"x 16" cinder block planter beds where somedelicious homegrown vegetables will soon grow! Thebeds are only one block (8") tall. Volunteers are asked to please bring shovels and 4' levelsif you have one. Wheelbarrows are also needed. Thework will be dirty; it is recommended thatvolunteers bring a pair of shoes to work in that they cantake off when driving home to protect the floor of thevehicle. No power tools, generators or air compressors will beneeded. Just good strong backs to lift, tote and stack! The weather is supposed to be beautiful and in the80's with low humidity. Chairman Craig will havecopies of the bed layouts and the diagrams of theproper placement of the cinder blocks. Come on!It is a fun challenge to get this project "growing!"
