Process data recording PDE® andProcess data reporting PDR
A characteristic feature of deep foundation is that many of its products are not visible from the surface at the time
of their construction. At the same time, however, these products are of fundamental importance for the buildings
to be erected on them. Therefore quality assurance is a vital factor for the successful cooperation of all parties
involved in the construction project. With its PDE® process data recording system and its PDR process data
reporting software Liebherr offers two important elements for modern deep foundation applications. Combining
the systems shown below improves the documentation of the working processes, facilitates supporting docu-
mentation and settlements, shortens reaction time to changing soil conditions and indicates potential for opti-
mizing future jobsite planning.
The PDE® process data recording system is available for Liebherr machines of the LB, LRB, LRH and HS series
and serves to electronically record and visualize the process data. Operation and display is carried out via the
PDE® colour touchscreen in the operator’s cab. The PDE records process data from the Litronic control system
(e.g. pressure or rope length measurement) as well as data from external sensors (e.g. frequency transmitter
or concrete pressure transmitter). Depending on the working process the data are interlinked and stored on
a CompactFlash (CF) memory card together with individually configurable details (such as jobsite name, pile
number, date, time etc.). Using the optional printer protocols can be printed in the operator’s cab directly after
completion of the working process.

PDR, the process data reporting software, enables comprehensive data evaluation and report generation on a PC.
Recordings management:The recordings generated by the PDE® system can be imported, either directly from the CompactFlash memo-
ry card or via the Liebherr telematics system LiDAT, and managed in PDR. Various filter functions facilitate the
sorting of imported recordings.
Viewing data:The data in each record is displayed tabularly. Combining several recordings provides results, for example,
regarding the total concrete consumption or the average depth. Furthermore, a diagram editor is available for
quick analysis.
Application:Currently the following deep foundation applications can be evaluated using PDR: Kelly drilling, continuous flight
auger drilling, double rotary drilling, vibrating, impact driving, pressing and soil mixing (wet and dry).

A vital element of the Liebherr process data reporting software PDR is the report generator, which allows
automated generation of jobsite reports. These can be generated in a number of different languages and either
sent to a printer or stored as PDF files.

The report configurator allows the reports to be individually arranged. The process data recorded by the PDE®
system can be selected and displayed with reports in the form of time-dependent or depth-dependent diagrams.
Axes’ lettering, line thicknesses and colours, scalings or the printing of company logos are individually configu-
rable as required.
