Introduction
This is a guide on how to reformat the Waves drive in the CDC six.
This may have to be done if the Waves card in the console has been changed, or if the Waves card will not update through the console – even though the card still works.
Tools Required
You will require a:
• USB key with the console software on it Or
• USB keyboard
Note: A USB mouse would also be useful – but not necessary

Procedure to reformat the Waves hard drive
If you are using a USB software key follow the instructions below:
1. Plug the USB key containing the console software into the console to bring up the ‘Command Centre’
2. Press ‘Explorer’
3. Then go to step 9

If you are using a USB keyboard follow the instructions below:
4. Plug the USB keyboard (and mouse if you are using one) in to one of the USB ports on the
console – there are two under the front arm rest on the left hand side and 2 more on middle
bottom of the rear panel. Keep the port above the 6.5” screen free for the software key.
5. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to bring up ‘Task Manager’ on the console:
6. Navigate to ‘Start Task Manager’ and press Enter
7. Press Alt+F and then type the word “Explorer”
8. Press Enter

9. You will see 2 drives on the console (3 if you have USB inserted). One is your C:/ Drive and
the other is the Waves drive.
10. If it is called CADAC_WAVES then the drive is formatted correctly.
11. If it is called anything else you must reformat your Waves drive.
12. If you are using a USB mouse right click on the Waves drive. If are using the touch screen
press and hold on the Waves drive.
13. A pop out menu will appear.
14. Select ‘Format…’ from the menu

15. This will bring up another menu. Set the File system to ‘FAT’
16. Then set the Volume label to ‘CADAC_WAVES’
17. Press ‘Start’
18. The Waves drive is now formatted
