Help Wanted
Gentlemen, as you know Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is in March and at that time we ratify members for the incoming Manage-ment Committee. This year we still have two positions which require nominees.
The first position is Secre-tary. The commitment is around two hours per month and the duties main-ly consist of issuing the agenda and taking minutes for the monthly manage-ment team meeting which
occurs at 8:30 before each of our regular meetings. You would also receive any correspondence to our club and forward it to the President or appropriate Chair of the various com-mittees for action.

Michael was born on March 6, 1945 in the town of Greifswald which is located in the northeastern part of Germany. Since the war was ending and the Rus-sians were advancing
towards Germany, his mother, older brother and he had to flee and he grew up in the area between Hamburg and Bremen Upon graduating from school in 1964, he applied for a position at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal and started a relationship with Hilton which lasted 43 years. In 1968 he married Mary – which has also lasted due to her pa-tience, understanding and kindness. In 1972, he was transferred to the Island of Guam until 1975 when he was trans-ferred back to Montreal. In 1980 his daughter Tina arrived. In 1997 he was promoted to Regional Controller and Secretary/Treasurer of Hilton in Cana-da, and moved to Burlington. In 2004 he took semi-retirement and then decided to take full retirement in March, 2007. He now has time to pur-sue his golf game, spend more time at the country house in the Laurentians, reading, gardening, travel, repairs and maintenance on his homes, spend time with friends, and companionship with all Roseland members, young and old.
The second position is that of Treasurer. The existing Treasurer has been at the position for many years and would like to help tran-sition his replacement in to the position. This position consists of running the bank accounts for the Chapter, and spearheading the annual budget process. This can-didate should have a knowledge of accounting and be good with Mi-crosoft Excel.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the club, meet with new friends and have a voice in the direction of the chapter. It would be especially gratifying to have some of our newer members get involved. If you have any in-terest at all please call me at home at (905) 827-4752 or email me at [email protected]. I hope you will consider it. Thank You
Jim Jones
Chair of Nominating Committee.
