Your school could help children like Megan

I stopped seeing my friends because I needed to be there for my brother Ben. I was worried about my mum being on her own. Barnardo’s helped me to make new friends and to believe in myself.

Welcome to the Family!Inspiring and wonderful people like you help us transform the lives of some of the most vulnerable children and young people in the UK.

Through our services, campaigns and research, we provide the support that the vulnerable children and young people need to thrive.

At Barnardo’s we believe in children – no matter who they are, what they have done or what they have been through.

Incredible things happen when you believe in children, and every day, up and down the country, we witness the amazing resilience, strength and potential of the young people we work with.

We ensure that their needs are met and their voices are heard. Every Barnardo’s service is different but each believes in the potential in every child and young person.

Your support helps us to reach the young people who most need our help. Every penny and pound you raise can make a difference.

This guide is full of ideas to get your school to raise money, so have a read, have fun and let us know if you need any help.

There is nothing stronger than children helping to support other children who need help.

Together, we can transform the lives of vulnerable children across the U.K. Your class and school will be a part of an amazing legacy.

Ideas to put a Spring in your step

Charge children £1 to school as their favourite book

character on World Book Day. Students may also

enjoy reading Big Todd’s Pirate Adventure.

Hold a sponsored pancake flip. How many times can your students flip a pancake in one

sponsored 5p per flip!

Hold a Valentine’s Day themed bake sale. Your sweet treats will help transform the

lives of vulnerable children across the UK.

Challenge your students to go green for St Patrick’s

or St David’s in a fun-filled twist on a non-uniform day.
