ANSWER THE QUESTION
“I would choose the fruits as an afternoon snack.”
(a) Look at the pictures. Which one of the snacks would you choose as an afternoon snack? Tell me why?
GIVE A REASON FOR YOUR ANSWER
“Out of all the food available, fruits are the healthiest choice of snack. It does not contain artificial sugar, fats or oil. I recall learning this during my Health Education lesson. Fruits contain a lot of vitamins, and this is good for my body.”
(a) Look at the pictures. Which one of the snacks would you choose as an afternoon snack? Tell me why?
SHARE AN EXPERIENCE
“In fact, I have the habit of eating an apple every day during my teatime. I find the apple sweet and crunchy! And like what mummy says, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”. This is perhaps why I am fit like a fiddle.”

PUTTING IT TOGETHER!
I would choose the fruits as an afternoon snack.
Out of all the food available, fruits are the healthiest choice of snack. It does not contain artificial sugar, fats or oil. I recall learning this during my Health Education lesson. Fruits contain a lot of vitamins, and this is good for my body.
In fact, I have the habit of eating an apple every day during my teatime. I find the apple sweet and crunchy! And like what mummy says, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”. This is perhaps why I am fit like a fiddle.
LET’S TRY!
(b) Which of the snack above should you avoid in order to have healthy teeth and gums? Tell me why?
PUTTING IT TOGETHER!
To have healthy teeth and gums, we should avoid food that are too sweet. This means we should avoid the donuts and sweet drinks.
During Health Education lessons, my teacher taught us
that eating too much sweet stuff can cause our teeth to decay. This means that our teeth will spoil, and we will have to pull it out/extract it!
In fact, this is why mummy does not allow me to eat too much sweet stuffs. Our form teacher will also nag at us when he sees us drinking sweet drinks!
LET’S TRY!
(c) Besides choosing the right food, what else must we do to stay healthy?
PUTTING IT TOGETHER!
To stay healthy, we will need to exercise regularly, and have enough sleep.
Exercising helps to build up our muscles, and improve our immune system. This will make us fit and strong! Having enough sleep will make sure that we have enough energy for the activities we do.
In fact, this is why mummy makes me go to bed by 10 pm every night. She wants me to be well rested, and to be able to concentrate in class.
