HOW YOU CAN HELP
In response to the ongo-ing conflict in South Su-dan, Presbyterian Disas-ter Assistance is:
Partnering with Foods Resource Bank (FRB) to fund a food security project in Uror. PDA will fund the first year and hopefully the sub-sequent years will be funded by FRB. Luke Asikoye, International Disaster Relief Associ-ate for PDA recently visited Uror.
Funding an emergency relief project for South Sudanese refugees in Kakuma, Kenya and Aura, Uganda in the amount of $120,000 with Presbytery Relief and Devel-opment Agency (PRDA). Luke Asikoye recently visited the IDP camps and reported that the camps are mainly com-promised of majority Nuer people who fled fighting both in the Capitol Juba and other parts of Upper Nile. There is a school for dis-placed children in the camp.
Providing $100,000 in emergency relief funds to PRDA in 2015/16 for the distribution of food and emergency relief items in Juba and Bentui.
Responding as a member of ACT Alliance. PDA contributed $44,264.84 to the 2015 South Sudan, Darfur appeal that provided emergency relief assistance, including but not limited to health, nutrition and WASH (water, sanitation and hy-giene) services, to IDPs in the South, East and Central Darfur.
