Scope of meeting

Aim of WS is to:• Share knowledge and discuss our common interest in understanding of

methane from hydrates and Arctic Ocean, and the relevance on climate on short, medium and long time scales

• Listen & learn, interdisciplinary discussions • Informal, useful, interesting

Hopefully MOCA can contribute to both establish and strengthen the collaboration across scientific disciplines to improve the knowledge of

“Methane Emissions from the Arctic OCean to the Atmosphere: Present and Future Climate Effects”

Part 1, 29- lunchtime 30 October: Scientific workshop on Arctic methane and learn about processes at the seafloor, in the ocean atmosphere, and the climate impacts of methane.

• Provide broad background• Learn to knwo each other and our respective fields and tools

Part 2: Lunchtime 30-31. October: Project kick off meeting for MOCA• Detailed planning of the work• Links within the projects to seek maximum outcome of all efforts

at the “Forskningsparken station”, and follow the signs over the footbridge to Forskningsparken. (5 mins walk) Main entrance
