Post-doctoral Position In Logistics and Supply Chain Management
Location:CentredeGestionScientifique,MINESParisTech,Paris,FranceContract:12to18monthsPost-doctoralResearcherKeywords:PhysicalInternet,FreightTransport,co-modality,Optimisation,SimulationObjectiveandContext:Apost-doctoralpositionisproposedinthecontextofresearchprojectsinFrance andEurope.Themainobjective is to design innovative logistic services for logistic flowsfromsourcestocustomerslocatedinanurbanarea,especiallywithconsiderationofmulti-modaltransport (ex. rail-road) for the sake of efficiency and sustainable transport. The projects willinvestigate the Physical Internet concept as one of the solutions in favour of building largershipmentsandeasetheswitchtomulti-modaltransport.ThepostdoctoralresearcherwillmainlyworkwithintheteamoflogisticsmanagementattheCentreofmanagementScience(CGS-CentredeGestionScientifique) at MINES ParisTech, a high-level engineer school (Grandeécole). He/Shewillworkonresearchprojectsincollaborationwithotherteams-majoruniversitiesandresearchinstitutesaswellasindustrialpartners,activitiesrelatedtotheChairPhysicalInternet.Highlevelscientificpublicationsarealsosoughtduringthepost-docperiod.Skills and Experience: The applicants should have PhD degree. He/She should have solidknowledge of logistics and supply chain management (ideally of freight transport), and ofoptimisation or simulation approaches.
