I owe Yuuuuurgh! to Gahan Wilson. I owe Poilzo to Franquin.Bob Woodward in the strange forest was intended for music band Bertram Wooster. I owe the Bear to Fmurrr and the Amoeboid to Marcel Gotlib.Rare et niais (Rare and dumb) read Rarnyeah or rat (rat) + araigne (spider). I owe that animalery (animalerie) to Jean Sol.

The phenomenon of ornament and the decorative attracts me. By following the path of patterns as ideas, I explore the relation between form and rhythm in two-dimensional space. My work is inspired by personal objects, feminine accessories, and by fragile antiques or vintage photos. Stimulated by similarities and contrasts, by fragments of the past, I bring nearer, and at the same time juxtapose, absurd scenes of the globalized present.www.marijamasajovanovic.com

A Husband in Paris is a playful comment on the idea of marrying abroad for papers, due to political isolation in economically underdeveloped countries. The photographer herself took up the role of a young woman from Eastern Europe in the search of a husband in Paris, the city of love. Walking across the city districts within the period of several weeks, she approached candidates asking them whether they would be willing to marry her and what it would look like. After a short introductory sniffing, they happily agreed to pose together for a snapshot, in which they played the role of potential couples. http://www.katarinaradovic.jimdo.com/
